Boring place ever !!!
Nice resort but the place is empty, only one or two restaurants open at night , the buffet is not open 7 days. There’s nothing to do at night, just a few show once in a while and no music even during the day !!! Very boring place and the receptionist Anna is not nice bad attitude !!!

Small resort which is good for short stays but avoid if you plan a 5 day or longer stay.
Because the resort is very small, there are limited dining options which all were disappointing for us. Food lacked warmth and seasoning. The check in process felt long after having a long day of travel. The concierge encouraged us to take a “tour” of the newer Secrets resort which ended up being a sales pitch for Unlimited Vacation Club (avoid the scam). In return for our participation in the sales pitch we were given a Romantic Dinner in the beach which didn’t happen due to weather and a cabana on the beach which also didn’t happen due to weather. The resort itself is okay but leaves a lot to be desired. Rooms are clean, AC works, the swim-out pool was incredible. Staff mostly are not bilingual. Room service was incredibly slow and once food came it was cold and lacking of flavor. Unfortunately we would not stay at Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya again.

Food, staff, drinks amazing
The food was so good. The staff were all so wonderful. The shows were pretty good. It’s smaller so you will meet people and for sure see them the next day. That was so nice to always be able to at least say hi to others. The alcohol was top shelf and the bar tenders were great! The rooms were 5 stars! Always clean and gorgeous. If you’re looking for a larger resort this is not it. It is smaller and intimate. The check in process was a bit strange, and they try to sale you on sitting through a presentation. A bit pushy with this. Overall it was a great experience.

Honeymoon
Could not have asked for a better place for our honeymoon. Everything was excellent and so was the staff.

Similar to all other all-inclusives in Cancun/ Riviera Maya
I booked this hotel based on reviews that said the food was amazing. I am always skeptical about all-inclusive but really wanted one that had great food. We arrived and were greeted immediately. Check in was great however right after check-in, we were approached to go to another hotel for lunch (sister hotel) to book another trip. Kind of annoying that we weren’t just taken to our room right away and were being sold something. Anyways, we denied the offer and were taken to our room. Room was updated and clean, yay! Food was fine. Just like any other buffet, but I certainly wouldn’t say it was amazing by any means. On Wednesday, only 2 restaurants were open, one required reservations, so we had to resort to the buffet or room service, which both were very average. Overall, the stay was just AVERAGE. I wouldn’t say it was amazing, wouldn’t say it was bad, but certainly overpriced for the quality of food and how run down the hotel is looking.
