Ice cold pools, tiny elevators with issues, comfortable rooms, construction!
We go to Cabo every year and have stayed at over 10 properties. This was our first time at the Hyatt, and it was not good. Within minutes of checking in, we were stuck on a very tiny elevator with 4 other people and luggage for over 10 min. The elevator dropped and shook, terrifying…we crawled out between floors, Our room was comfortable, but the AC wasn’t on and it took us a day to figure out how to get it going( the patio door was shut and locked but the sensor didn’t pick it up) There were nice toiletries , including a razor and shave cream, but there is no lotion in the rooms. We were not aware of the construction in the hotel, but were told it was in the other building, not true, they were working on the room a couple doors up from us. The MAIN problem with the Hyatt is the pools and beach. There is no shade on the beach unless you pay for a Cabana. The pools are ICE COLD. Very few people got in, and if they did, they didn’t stay. They advertise two pools are heated, but all the pools were the same temperature. None were heated. The two hot tubs were packed with kids, I mean standing room only, as the kiddy pool was ice cold. One woman ran up with her child in a towel begging to make room because her child’s lips had turned blue in the cold water. The property next door had tons of people in their pool, obviously heated. The service here is great. The people are well trained. I feel like some of the food at the buffet was old, and the edges of the cheese slices were dry. The restaurants were good except the steakhouse. We had tummy troubles for the first time ever in Mexico, lastly there were no rules limiting kids except in one restaurant. The kids were out late at night in the areas clearly meant for adults, some happy, some not. We had lots of issues on this trip and would not recommend this hotel.

Under construction. Very Noisy.
The NOISE level was so bad. The construction woke us up from sleep. Lots of construction debris. We were placed on room 2415. The noise was awful, we could not have a relaxing stay. The food and staff were excellent. But we could not relax because even from the swimming pools, we can hear the sound of the construction.

Outstanding service
Everyone there is so sweet and kind towards guests. Very welcoming and go way and beyond their job roles to make guests feel comfortable . Carlos the bartender was an amazing bartender with his lively sweet personality always made me feel comfortable when ordering my drinks and recommended me good drinks as well when I wasn’t sure what to drink . I definitely recommend going to him if you want to drink good quality drinks and have an enjoyable time with good company ! Also try the French cuisine it was one of the best restaurants I tried . The Italian food was ehhh hahah . But overall it was a nice experience and I would recommend staying there and it’s close to the plaza and the location is safe as well .

Fabulous time at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
This resort never disappoints, even with the current renovations, it didn't bother us a bit. Exceptional accommodations, the friendliest staff, great food and drinks, plus there is something for everyone here. Can't wait to go back and see the brand new resort this spring! :) Gracis Alejandro, Alexi, Axel and Norma...you are the best!
