    Not for me

I was so excited to visit this resort after so many positive reviews. But unfortunately I would not return. There are a few things that are really important to me in a resort, ocean views - proximity, size and ease to get around, food and rooms. This resort really hits the mark with families with teenage children! I can see how this resort offers so much for them. But as an solo adult, it was just way too big, no ocean views, very basic rooms and amenities, average to below average food and drinks, and not great service. For the price point I was expecting so much more. The star of the week was the beach, it’s beautiful, lots of loungers, drink service and beach food.

Great Experience. Don't Believe The Haters.

Had seen a lot of negative reviews prior to our trip and they were all unfounded. I honestly think those people wouldn't be happy anywhere. If you're thinking of going, ve y disfruta! Absolutely huge resort. Too big if you have mobility issues but they have a shuttle service to get you anywhere you need to go. We had a great time walking and exploring. Grounds are beautiful with various native animals. Yes the coati are everywhere but they didn't bother us at all. If you have a fear of animals, I can see how this would be unappealing. For us, it was a part of the experience. Grounds were stunning. Tip the gardeners and maintenance team. They don't get enough respect. Service was great. Had an issue with elderly members of our party being put on an upper floor which they rectified the next morning (we arrived at midnight). AC worked fine and they turned it lower upon request. Gracias Fernanda! Aside from one poor experience at the sports bar (where they simply ignored us, later refusing to serve our 18+ kids and calling them inappropriate names in Spanish) everyone was beyond fantastic! Johny who floated between bars was a top notch bartender. Food was good. Have I had better? Sure. Have I had worse? Hell yes. Far, far worse. They focus more on the restaurants so the food there is better and the buffet was on the smaller side. No issues with food temps or getting into restaurants. Longest we waited was maybe 10min. With drinks in hand, no one saw any problem. Beach and pool were beautiful. Got chairs every time for a group of 7 all together. Maybe not front row every day but we got them. Some underwater rocks in areas but more than enough sandy areas. Sargasso? Yes, but it is the season and they worked all day cleaning it up. Victor, Nano, Catalina at Dressel Divers were great. Muchas gracias Moises por la lección de navegación! A great time and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

    Iberostar Lindo

So much to say. The positives: lots of juices at the breakfast buffet. So delicious! The wildlife is beautiful. Peacocks, coati, cats, lizards, flamingos, monkeys. That was wonderful! Unfortunately, my son got sick but the clinic and Dr. Monica were wonderful. I cannot say enough great things about them. They took great care of my son. Who was sick coughing..not anything food related. I didn't participate, but there were lots of classes at the gym.If I had brought workout clothes, I would have tried them out. Workout classes all day. The water fountains around the resort were great. The beach was great. Swimmable beach. Snack bar and regular bar at the beach with bathrooms. The beach was really busy which I loved. If you don't care where you sit, the chair game wasn't a problem. We didn't have any problem finding a seat that we were happy with. The water slides were fun but I wouldn't call it a water park. The negatives: The food was just not good. The burger from the beach and the french fries were the best thing I ate all week. Oh, the chicken nuggets were good too. Room service was always cold. The chips were frequently soggy or stale. I really like when I can see the ocean from the pool and with the beach so far away, that wasn't possible. The beach was far away. You walk through a cool mangrove forest to get there, so its very nice but its far when its so hot. All I want is to sit at the pool and look at the ocean and have someone bring me guacamole and daquris. They didn't have waiter service at the pools. (At least the pools we were at. I don't know what was happening elsewhere.) So for me, I wouldn't go back. Because I want to see the ocean and I want someone to bring me chips and guac all day. There wasn't anything that special that would bring me back to this resort.

Exceeded our expectations! Great for kids!

simple room, but soooo roomy!! Space for 3 lg bags and a cot! The bath had lots of counter space. It was a 15 min walk to am buffet. Loved the fresh air & long walks together, plus we needed the steps! Beautiful grounds and kept impeccably clean. Kids club was great!

    Easy for Celiac travellers

Gluten free They have a small section with a few items labelled gluten free. Including bread, waffles, pancakes and packaged cookies and brownies. But I always travel with a card, in Spanish, listing what I cannot eat. Every day someone would walk me around the budget and show what I could and could not eat. They also offered to make something separate if I liked. I ate well and safely all week. I respond violently to gluten so am confident in the safety there. Keep in mind that with it being a reduced waste facility they have large bowls of peanut butter, jam etc so not safe. They also had almond and soy milk. Facilities Large, clean, immaculate. Room is comfortable. Good counter space in bathroom with good quality hair dryer. Shampoo, conditioner & body wash are so-so. Glad I brought my own. There is a shuttle that acts like a bus with stops, but no elevators so request ground floor if needed. Beach Soft, white sand. Choppy water. Tons of seaweed. Relatively short. If beach is a top priority this may not be the best choice. Some people complained of coatis. Yes, there are a lot and if you are eating at the beach they are a nuisance. Otherwise I didn’t find them a big problem. Overall a wonderful resort that I would recommend
