Dec 09, 2024Family friendly and expansive all inclusive resort
First all inclusive experience. The hotel grounds are expansive and well maintained. Open lobby area inviting and pleasing to the eye. Check in process was very smooth and pleasant. Concierge service friendly however, due to first experience unknowingly was quickly signed up for a tour and sales pitch to push a purchase of club membership. Explained upon arrival that we were there for a special occasion hotel did nothing extra to assist us in celebration :(. Room sufficient considering time spent in room was minimal. Maid service was excellent. Daily cleaning, replenishment of towels and refrigerator stock. Maid left towel animal on our bed…lovely touch. (Room does have a musty odor and is slightly damp) White sandy beach with lounge chairs and grass umbrellas. (arrive early or very late afternoon to find a vacant spot) Beach bar has no bar stools, disappointing. Bar staff not very friendly. Coatis (raccoon-like creatures) everywhere on beach. They will steal food right out of your hand like a seagull beware. Burgers, hotdogs and ice cream offered at the beach. Tried to kick back and chill on vacation with a few alcoholic beverages never got a buzz? Wide array of pools and poolside areas. Get your beach towels before 5pm for next day. Lazy river and water slides great for the family. Taco/ burgers by the ping pong tables. Enjoyed the tacos. Games, books and inflatables offered by the pool for borrow. Breakfast buffet had a large range of food selections and wait staff inviting and very friendly. **Would have loved coffee bar option for the early sunrise viewers. (Coffee offered in room not very good and no cream for coffee) Buffet for lunch very similar to breakfast…. above average and large food selection. Personal favorite the ceviche selection. Dinner at seafood “Under the sea”restaurant loved the decor. Small portions and temperature of food not served hot enough. Italian restaurant “Olivetti” similar portions and food temperature. We had a reservation for the “El Rancho” steakhouse at adjacent Paraiso Maya, tasty but also small portions and lukewarm. Enjoyed the French restaurant “El Museo” my personal favorite. Portions slightly larger and food served hot. Delicious dessert table. Enjoyed the show entertainment each night. Download Iberostar app to add events to your calendar. Shuttle service will take you quickly throughout the shared grounds of these Iberostar multi resorts. Never received the resorts credits offered? Mentioned at check out. Unclear understanding of how to earn. Overall a very relaxing/fun experience and definitely would go back again. Highly recommend this resort if you have young or even teenage children. If you are looking for a small intimate resort this spot is not for you.

Where to start - we spent an amazing week here and I told all the staff members they shouldn't change a thing, everything is perfect already. Filtered water is available all times, the guests are very international, and the hotel is family friendly while also entertaining those in a party mood. We had all meals at the buffet restaurant (just because it's more convenient with a young child) and we were more than happy with the selection and variation. Hope to visit again!

Great Family Vacation
It was our first time bringing our kids on an all-inclusive trip. We are glad we picked this hotel...it's great for families! The pool, the slides, the beach, and the shows were wonderful and the entertainment staff was fantastic! Franco made our family feel so welcomed and our kids said they are going to miss him. All the activities that the entertainment team hosted for kids and adults by the pool and on the beach added a little excitement to our otherwise relaxing vacation. Our kids loved the fire show and the magic show the best. We made many great family memories this trip!

Very disappointed. Food was subpar, even for Mexico resort standards. Wasn’t able to get a reservation at any of the restaurants, so we had to wait in line early or eat at the buffet, which was not great. Also, as a cigar smoker I was pretty upset there was no cigar lounge which is one of the reasons we chose those resort. I enjoy smoking a cigar or two at night, but was unable to because they closed their cigar lounge and have only a couple designated smoking areas with a crappy bench to sit on.

Disappointed and beyond
We Could Not get a reservation for ANY restaurant. The free style Restaurant was 1.5 hour wait all the time. They said they made us a reservation for Thanksgiving and when we showed up there was not one for us. Very disappointing. All the concierge service did is try to sell you timeshare with "free" massages and breakfast. Wasted so much time trying to book dinner. The food At the Buffet all tastes the same . Very disappointed ☹️ Mexican raccoons 🦝 everywhere and in trash and noisy and gross. Would not recommend. And please don't bother responding how sorry you are for my experience. We booked with a travel agent which I would also never do again.
