    Another great Iberostar property.

The hotel itself is wonderful, hence the 5 star rating. However I’m not sure I’d stay again simply due to the area itself. First the hotel, excellent service from start to finish. Greeted with class of cava at check in and bags brought to our room. Upgraded to the Star Prestige area and they did a great job orienting us to the hotel itself. The room was beautiful with a great balcony and water view. Overall the room and hotel itself was terrific. We didn’t use the pool but it looked great all around and as usual for Iberostar the breakfast was over the top. Fresh, bountiful and good service. As for the area, the beach itself is nice but the area around is very touristy and it’s hard to really distinguish if you’re in Spain or any other beach area. We knew when we booked it would be busy but were hopeful we would find place off the beaten path that felt more authentic and that was hard to do. We did rent a car on one day and travel to the north and had some great experiences there. So overall a great hotel and we loved the island itself but would choose to do it differently next time.

    Sun Bed App Needs Explaining

Our fifth stay at this hotel within the last four years and on each occasion we had a wonderful relaxing time. Due to ongoing illness this year we emailed the hotel in advance to request if we could have a 1st floor room and that the mini bar was emptied so I could store my medication. Checkin was swift and easy apart from one thing. The new booking system to book a sun bed, is not explained enough, which I'll review later. Room was neat and tidy as you would expect, but over a couple of days we had some issues. Pillows too soft, so requested a firm one, Safe and Kettle not working correctly and there was a leak in the Toilet. All fixed within the hour once reported to reception - Thank you. Only booked B&B, which was lovely I'm told as I'm still on soft foods and it was eggs, fruit and yogurts for me for 10 days. Plenty of restaurants nearby which I can recommend if required. Now those sun beds. When you checkin you are issued with a leaflet that has a bar code on it for you to navigate to book your sun beds. We got to the room unpacked and very keen to get to the pool area. To our horror when I tried to book a couple of beds every area was full. I was absolutely devastated as this holiday was part of my recovery process to relax and get well in a hotel we like a lot. Tried not to panic but to be honest we did. So eventually got to the pool area, collected our towels and spoke to the pool attendants Santiago and Carmela. Who are amazing by the way. They have iPads that operate an up to date system and identify which beds are available. So within a few minutes we were sorted for the next 2 days. After that you can book beds a couple of days in advance at 1:00pm each day. You can also make a block booking for your beds for the duration of your stay at Euro 5 p/b/p/d. Not what you expect from a 5* hotel and very off putting I think. We did notice the odd pool tile was cracked or broken and expansion gasket missing for long stretches are found around the pool, which is nothing but a dirt trap and very surprised they were not mainatained correctly. We noticed lots of people getting stressed on their first day trying to get sun beds where they would like to be and actually lost their tempers with the pool attendants. It's not their fault and they are there to help you. So please be easy with them as they have a stressful job looking after us. Pool area is lovely but area is starting to feel a bit cramped and they are try to accommodate some Star prestige beds in the main pool as well. Or is the hotel becoming more popular? Big shout goes to Marina (think that's her name) in the Pool Bar and her staff. Greeted with a happy smiling face every morning is a good start to our days don't you think. We do have a reservation all ready made before we decided on this lates break so will return in January 2026.

    Excellent as usual

This our 9th visit to this hotel and it seems to be as good as ever the main winner at this hotel is the staff they are all well trained in whatever function they perform. The food and service is exceptional the new sun-bed system is working brilliantly and the guys in charge,Santiago and Carmella are brilliant at what they do even as some guests can be rude also Kiara the entertainment girl is one of the best I have ever come across so funny and great with the guests.I thought i would base this review on the staff as they are top class special mention to young Daniel on breakfast front of house duty very polite young guy I would also like to personally thank Krista on Guest service who handle all my booking mobility requests. We will be back.(The Sweet giver 😂)

Relaxing and special . Didn’t want to leave the hotel

A truly well run hotel. Did the prestige option - totally worth it. If you are a drinker that is, the selection is off the scale. Main thing is the staff seem really happy and are very attentive. One of the best I’ve stayed, modern, clean and swish I can’t imagine there is anywhere better on the island.

Lovely hotel but outdated policies spoil the experience.

We recently stayed at this hotel and whilst a well presented hotel, a few completely avoidable policies made our experience somewhat disappointing. Firstly, the dress code is absurd and badly needs updating. My husband was escorted out of the buffet restaurant and told to go and get changed despite wearing tailored shorts and Birkenstocks, which looked perfectly smart and appropriate for a warm weather resort. Meanwhile, scruffy trainers are completely acceptable for men. It's not just inconsistent it's sexist, as women are free to wear flat open sandals without issue. Perhaps he should have worn a dress?! No one is asking for thong flip-flops at dinner, but surely a smart sandal is far more appropriate than a pair of trainers. Some common sense should really be applied rather than following an outdated, historic policy that clearly does not fit modern expectations or climates. Then there's the sunbed reservation policy, which is nothing short of ridiculous. Guests have to prebook loungers in advance on the app which books up quickly. People book beds and then don't turn up. You're then told to wait in the outdoor restaurant area until 11am before they start reallocating any unused ones. A much fairer system would be first come, first served if you're there and ready to use a bed, you should be able to have one. If you leave it empty, it should be reallocated to someone who actually wants to enjoy it. I appreciate sadly behaviours have caused hotels to look at their sunbed policies but this does not work and leaves guests wasting half a day to be allocated a bed, when many sit empty for hours. It's a shame because the hotel itself is lovely and could easily be a five-star experience but until they start applying some basic common sense it will continue to be a let down.
