Can't wait to come back!
What everyone else says, really. This was my first visit but not my partner's and we had a terrific time in late January. The food is outstanding, the whole place beautiful and chilled. Not all of the suites are restored yet, but the rebuilding effort is inspiring and will be complete soon: the Pelican Bar was reopening the day after we left. This is a beautiful, much less touristy part of Jamaica. Amazing sunsets. The hotel and restaurant have outstanding, friendly staff with, clearly, lots of loyal, returning guests who love Calabash Bay. There's plenty to see nearby and excursions are easy to arrange. We intend to come back with friends and take one of the bigger apartments which back right onto the sea, which we were lucky enough to look around. Can't wait!

Dreamy Jamaican vibes
If you are seeking an authentic Jamaican experience, I highly recommend visiting Jake’s. Situated on Treasure Beach, the far southern and less touristy side of the island, Jake’s is a Jamaican family-owned community-driven, sustainable, and environmentally conscious establishment. Its enchanting and whimsical atmosphere is complemented by charming and clean rooms. Additionally, guests have the option to rent various villas or even a bungalow where Alex Haley wrote “Roots.” The staff is warm and welcoming, creating a perfect haven for bohemian travelers. Jake’s stands in stark contrast to the generic corporate resorts like Sandals. Jake’s exudes a sense of roots and soul

Fab visit
Just had a wonderful time at Jake’s. I was so impressed with the property and staff. You would never know they went through a hurricane 2 months ago. The vibe is one of beauty, art and rest.

Jake's take the Cake!
It is hard to write anything about Jakes that hasn't been said on luxury travel websites or other reviews around Jamaica. My review of Jakes is it is a five star experience. The location is perfect more importantly, the little villas and oceanfront rooms and courtesy of the staff, cleanliness, great bar, and restaurant make this place tough to beat. I've been a long time traveler to Jamaica and I am currently serving in the Peace Corps so I know the island quite well and I know what to expect from the hospitality business in Jamaica and Jakes is a fantastic place to hang your hat And kick your feet up as long as you can. Exploring the south coast of Jamaica is not as popular as some other places, but Jakes makes it even more special. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing!!! Go!!! Hit that ‘buy now’ button 😜
I love Jake’s. Full stop. The staff and service are outstanding and so helpful + kind. Food?? Amazing…best it’s been since I’ve been going there. Delicious. Worried about how they’re doing since Melissa? DON’T. It’s looking beautiful, running 5 STAR! Had a blast at Jack Sprat one evening…saw a live band, ate some delicious food (lobster pizza!??!!!!! Yummmmm), and caught the best vibe. I love you Jake’s, I love you Jamaica. Never change. Just go.
