Jun 10, 2026Superior beach front top floor condo
The location of the condo Kahana reef 408 is superb on the top floor at the corner with the magnificent views of the ocean and other islands at far. The condo space is larger than average ones in the same complex. The trade winds on the top floor is a natural air conditioner, and healthier than a regular electric one. All supplies including bathroom and beach towels and kitchen supplies are plenty and in high quality. The deco and furnishings are modern. It is a quiet place away from the tourist crowds of hotel zones but yet very close to the beaches and shops, restaurants of Kapalua and Kaanapoli.

May 29, 2025Amazing Kahana Reef but our condo needs a makeover.
Amazing ocean front resort. Great location but unit 116 needs fixing. We have stayed in Kahana many times and Kahana Reef has been one of my favourites. We always pick a ground floor unit as it offers good access to the beach and lawn area. Our unit unfortunately was grungy and some of the fixtures were falling off. The silicone in the bathroom had mold and it was apparent that this unit was not maintained by the owner. Still we paid a lot to stay there for a week and we felt that the unit was overpriced given the condition it was in. Maui has a place in our hearts and we tried not to let that bother us too much.

Quality and Beautiful - Kahanna Reef #402
From the moment we opened the door to the sad day when we checked out, this place was a wonderful home away from home. Everything about it was great! The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a beautiful large tiled shower, the living room just right, the lanai - well, we spent SO much time out there! Morning coffees, dinner at the end of a sight-seeing day, watching the sunsets and daily watching the turtles that were constantly swimming up right along the sea wall. You'd often find us (and others) sitting there with cameras in hand to capture these beautiful sea creatures. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare our meals. A variety of small appliances, stove, microwave and dishwasher (although we never used it as it was just as easy to quickly hand wash our dishes every day). The only "issue" was that the toaster set off the smoke alarm every time we used it. Nothing burnt and no smoke came from the toaster so I guess the heat from it set off the sensor. We did let mgmt know though and I'm sure it was addressed/corrected. Other than that - we'd stay here in a heartbeat again if ever back on Maui! It's at the quieter north-west side of the island away from the busyness of the rest of island so if you're looking for that - this is your place!

Incredible view!
Clean, comfortable bed, awesome view! This place has everything we need for an amazing Maui vacation - a well stocked kitchen, updated bathroom and great location. We appreciate the fans to help keep us cool!

Perfect!
The location was amazing! And the suite we rented was perfect. Tons of amenities nearby. Lots of turtles that come right up to the rock wall. Nice beach when the tide is low, but you can use the stairs to walk into the water anytime. We will be staying again!
