Please be advised that Kapalua Bay Golf Course is currently closed indefinitely while upgrades and course improvements are being completed.
The Plantation Course remains open and is in excellent condition, offering golfers a beautiful alternative. Kapalua continues to be recognized as one of Maui's premier golf destinations.

There are eight (8) pools on site.
Please be advised there are four (4) pools in the Golf Villas, two (2) pools in the Ridge and two (2) pools in the Bay Villas.
Guests may only use the pools at the property in which they are staying; guests do not have access to all eight (8) pools. Guests only have access to the pools in conjunction with their Villa complex. Kapalua Villas has three (3) different Villa complexes.

we stayed in one of the gold "oceanfront" bay villas which more like an ocean view, not ocean front... In any case, the villa itself was very clean just like the grounds and pool area. Very well maintained. The staff were helpful. The best part about the villa was the view hands down. Waking up the ocean every morning was unreal. The villa was outdated but spacious. pool was closeby, nice bbq area. the location of this area is remote, rainy and windy. the beaches nearby are rocky and wavy. each villa is indivdually owned and oeprated by diffe

This was our first time as a family. The condo was great, right on a golf course. The villas had walking paths and a store. The condo was free from bugs and clean. It had all the amenities you would expect/need from a condo. Our only complaint was that the hot water was not very hot. We all took showers with NO cold water turned on. Pest control stopped by once while we were there. It was quite due to the weather, windy (50-60mph gusts) so not that many people were out doing things until later in the week. We are DVC members so it only cost us points. It was a comparable condo to the ones we usually get while using DVC.

Kapalua bay shuttle service is discontinued. There is a parking fee for beaches in the area which can run $39 a day. (No kidding) Tourists beware … mahalo

Lovely villa but did get a few cockroaches! Beware of the resort fees and cleaning charges. We requested not to have the villa cleaned as we could do it ourselves and only there a week. On check out they told us we were being charged a $208 cleaning departure fee!! When we complained about it as we didn’t know anything about it the guy behind the desk told us nothing we could do it was going on the credit card.....great customer service!!!! On the plus side the shuttle drivers we came across where very pleasant and helpful. It’s out of the way to get to the tourist area, you have to get a bus. Nothing here but expensive and not very good restaurants.

Jun 19, 2025A tired and remote villa in the far north of Maui.
A very tired and overpriced villa in a remote corner of Maui. The villa was tired and dusty and the AC barely worked. The resort is well landscaped but isolated and a long way to get anywhere on the island. There were stunning views from the patio, which made up for a lot. Pools ok but beaches not very accessible. The compulsory final cleaning charge of over 400 USD for 2 of us for 3 days was outrageous.
