Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
If you are looking for a hotel to stay at in Lihue Kauai, you NEED to stay at the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort. From start to finish all employees greeted/treated me with ALOHA. Glenda at the reservation desk was AWESOME! Go and see her to make all of your arrangements and tell her Marlene sent you. Thanks again Glenda for all your help today! I can’t wait to see you again.

Great Stay
My first time to the Island. The resort did not disappoint! There are some renovations under way at the property but it does not take away from the tranquility of the resort. Great service at all the outlets. Make sure to sign up and advantage of the Outtigger discovery members discounts 15% off restaurants and 20% off spa services. The pool was very clean and be sure and check out the slide 🛝. Spa staff was very knowledgeable and I loved my massage.

A very friendly hotel with excellent staff.
I booked a very nice signature room which looked as if it had recently been remodelled. It was a good size and had everything you might need. I actually arrived very early due to my flight time but the reception staff were very accommodating and quickly found me a room that I could go straight into despite my being prepared to happily wait until the normal check in time. The staff member even gave me a room in a nicer location with a better view. The most amazing staff member I met was Cathy my housekeeper. She was incredibly warm and accommodating and was always asking if she could do anything to make my stay more comfortable and was more than happy to come back to tidy my room if I happened to be there when she called, a total credit to the hotel.

Oct 15, 2025Disappointing honeymoon stay
Our recent stay at the Outrigger Kauai was disappointing, especially as this was meant to be our special honeymoon trip. Firstly there were unannounced renovations. Upon arrival, we discovered the entire lobby and spa area were blocked off, completely disrupting the atmosphere and amenities. There was zero warning about this on the hotel website or in any communication leading up to our stay. To make matters worse, we were placed in the block furthest away from the temporary entrance. This resulted in a long and inconvenient walk, forcing us to go out of the hotel and behind the active building works just to get to and from our room—an unacceptable situation for a full-price booking when we later discovered rooms were in fact available in a more central block. The service we received when reporting maintenance problems was equally frustrating. We found a blockage in our room's air conditioning system. When we notified the staff about the AC, the manager was defensive and insisted my husband hadn't shut the door properly and refused to accept there was anything wrong. It took an unnecessary discussion before someone finally came to the room, confirmed the problem, and unblocked the system. There was no apology from the hotel for the hassle. In fact, most conversations with staff members were quite unprofessional and rude (and other hotel guests also noted this to us during our stay). Finally, we had notified the hotel weeks in advance that this was our honeymoon. We arrived hoping for a small gesture, but there was nothing. When we inquired, the staff said they weren't aware and then told us it was too late notice to do a fruit platter/anything special. We hoped this might be done the following day/later during our stay, but nothing was arranged. A minor point and not the end of the world but something to consider if staying here for your special occasion.
