- Golf †There are two championship golf courses at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. Both designed by leading names in today's golf world. Whether a beginner or a pro, players find the challenge exhilarating and the scenery breathtaking. Waikoloa´s classic Kings´ Course, designed by former British Open champion Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, is a Big Island golf course offering the best of two worlds: a great links-style layout that reflects the rugged seacoast of Scotland – yet set on an island paradise where brilliant color flashes across the thousand shades of green, and Mauna Kea towers in the distance. The 7,000+ yard Kings´ Course meanders over and around an ancient lava flow, and its wide, undulating fairways are framed by palm trees and vibrant flowers of Hawaii. Multiple tee placements, and challenging pot bunkers add complexity to the Big Island Hawaii golf course complete with a double green on holes #3 and #6. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Beach Course at this expansive Waikoloa golf resort winds its way along historic lava flows near Anaehoomalu Bay – impressing even avid golfers with hypnotic ocean views, swaying coconut palms and tropical trade winds. Immaculate greens are well-guarded by numerous white sand bunkers and strategically placed, shimmering water features, but the ultimate Waikoloa beach golf experience may be the Beach Course’s 502-yard par 5 twelfth–known throughout the islands as the most spectacular oceanfront par-five in Hawaii. Not only is it a challenging golf hole, its rocky point over the breakers is an awesome place to spot humpback whales and misty, distant views of other Hawaiian Islands.

Positives and Negatives to this resort
Positives: - huge resort with easy shuttle access to beachfront resort. - lots of pool/hot tub options - full kitchen with dishwasher and basic supplies - washer/dryer - Easy free parking Negatives: - frustrating check in process as although our Guest Services Clerk was friendly and informative we couldn’t hear her over the pool side band. She was clearly as frustrated as us at having to shout at guests. - strange unit layout - huge bathroom but cramped bedroom. - No sockets by mirrors in bedroom so this means you have to be in the bathroom to dry hair, put on make-up, etc meaning only 1 person can get ready at a time. - Room flooring very worn and dirty - on property restaurants expensive

Kingsland was very nice
A great resort in a central part of the island. Convenient to other sites on the island. Close proximity to lovely beaches and pool area at resort was very nice for kids (3 waterslides and shallow area for toddlers). Kitchen could have been better stocked. Unit needed sweeping when we arrived. Very quiet at resort and we enjoyed the live music at happy hour.

Choose this Hilton if you have a car
Checked in early as we had plans later. Our rooms were not ready so we could not return to get keys until late at night. However, they gave us late checkout for the following day and use of the facilities all day (including Hilton Waikola Village)so that was nice. The rooms had full kitchen, outdoor patio and even laundry in each room! Nice sitting area too. Rain shower does not work for short people. Please redo. Very nice accommodations and less expensive than Hilton Waikola Village

Some employees will steal your stuff if you leave it behind
I find it hard to believe that all the employees are honest and i know for a fact that my pareo and items in the dryer were actually stolen. Found it funny that they found previous items from previous guests still left in the apartment, yet the items I watched my partner redry in the dryer were mysteriously vanished. he even was able to go into the apartment and saw that they were no longer in the dryer. So that tells me the person who cleaned the apartment which was a young girl, claimed the items for herself lol. I’m not stupid and it’s not the first time it’s happened at a hotel back home. I’m coming home to visit my family in Hawaii and I know my things were stolen and never placed in the lost in found! I filed a report, but I’m positive that whoever cleaned out that apartment is probably wearing my pareo and using the towels.
