  Saul is the best

  We went kayaking with Saul, the activity coordinator at Las Palmas. We had such a great time! He is incredibly helpful and friendly :)

  Caring stuff, perfect vacations

  This is my fifth time coming to this Resort and the staff here always remember my name. They are also friendly and attentive. They make me feel very special. Aristeo , daniel and super saul , verenice de concierge jorge , jose , and the capitan gabriela I can see how much the staff care about the people that come here

  Beautiful vacation

  Great location, beautiful beaches, food was ok, nothing special, but not too bad either. A little outdated but everything was as advertised. The view is phenomenal.

  One star at the most

  One star at most. This outdated, aging resort deserves a much lower rating so travelers know what they’re paying for. Rooms: There are no refrigerators, coffee makers, or vending machines. Housekeeping is inconsistent unless you actively ask for it. The bathrooms have no exhaust fans, and the old-style shower has fixed louvre windows that don’t fully close. A tall person could easily see through them, and they also allow insects and small animals to get inside. We even found a lizard on top of the TV in our room. Food: There is no snack bar. The buffet was repetitive, bland, and of poor quality. The Mexican restaurant was average at best, although the Italian restaurant was surprisingly good and offered a much more enjoyable dining experience. Beach: The beach itself is beautiful, with no algae or seagrass. However, the sand drops away quickly beneath your feet, so unless you’re a confident swimmer, you need to be very careful. The resort’s common areas have a unique and interesting design, and the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Behind the resort is a shallow lagoon that connects to the ocean at night. A strong, unpleasant odor from the lagoon hits you as soon as you step outside your room and lingers throughout the day. Combined with the heat, it makes the atmosphere quite unpleasant. Another guest told us there were three alligators living in the lagoon. We assumed he was joking, but on our second night we saw a crowd gathered by the lagoon. After waiting for a while, we watched an alligator swim out of the lagoon and into the ocean. Overall, one star is the highest rating I can give this resort. Save your money and your vacation—there are far better places to stay elsewhere.

  Las Palmas By The Sea

  We are having an amazing stay at Las Palmas!! All the staff are extremely kind and go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. A special thank you to Alejandro, Captain De Meseros, who always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. His warmth and professionalism is making our vacation unforgettable. The food has something for everyone with plenty of delicious options. There is a full buffet for every meal and the options are endless! The desserts are amazing!! And the view is to die for. We cannot wait to come back!
