Dec 01, 2025Good location. Hotel is dated.
The hotel is nice, in a good location, but very dated. The mattress in our room was extremely uncomfortable. There are permanent body depressions in the mattress. The smoke detector in our room began to chirp at 4am. Maintenance did not show up until 8am. Ridiculous.

2 weeks Honolulu stay
It was our first stay in Luana Waikiki Hotel&Suites. The Lobby of the hotel had a wonderful hawaiian style. Stuff was friendly. We were in room 303. Unfortunately the gas station was in front of our balcony. We had the smell of gasoline in the room all the time. The furniture was very old. The cleaning ladies were very friendly, but the cleaning was not as expected. On the ceiling and furniture were signs of mold. They told us it's not. We would have liked to change the room but no one offered. We were enjoing our stay anyway.

Very clean accommodations with a friendly staff conveniently located at the entrance to Waikiki on Kalakaua Ave. Highly recommended.

Good hotel at a great location near the beach & shopping
Good accomodations. Complimentary slippers were available upon request. Front desk folks were friendly. Valet was prompt. On certain days the hotel offered fun social activities that were complimentary (an evening of cheese and crackers or a lei making class). The hotel also has an onsite representative to arrange sightseeing tours. Great location near the beach and shopping! Also great location near many good food trucks across the street and other restaurants within walking distance.

All hotel employees were extremely kind, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. The hospitality was definitely great, the room was spacious and the location was wonderful. The two things that bothered me were the pool and the sound isolation. The pool was very disappointing. Tiny, no bar, no view, and doesn’t really look like the pictures. I think this space has potential and could be used better. From the room you can hear people in the hallway, the elevator sounds and people in the adjacent units flushing and showering.
