Jan 15, 2026Old and smelly carpet, but great location
Outdated and needs to replace the carpet in the hall. It smells. However, I liked that the room was a suite. Floors in the suite were really dirty. Location was excellent.

I have just had 3 nights here . The staff are lovely and the hotel is very clean and well maintained. The room was well equipped with a kitchen, bathroom and large bed . It’s a nice quiet place at the end of the main thoroughfare through Honolulu. The beach ids a short walk through a nice park . Yes, I would definitely recommend.

Lovely Time
Super amazing experience! I was bummed there wasn't a hot tub but the beautiful room, kind staff and lovely amenities made it worth it. Mike from the front desk was really kind and made the stay even better!

Great hotel overall
Overall a very nice hotel. The property was clean and well cared for, situated at the gateway to Waikiki. The view from my room was lovely. Housekeeping is provided every other day for longer stays. The only negative here is the AC. It's noisy and located adjacent to the dining table and under the TV. You have to turn if off completely if you plan to sit at the table. And as the compressor cuts on and off, adjust the TV volume up and down. Otherwise, no complaints here. And there's a "Manager's Reception" three nights a week which is a very nice touch.

Fun stay!
We found the Luana to be everything mentioned in the description. The staff was so hospitable, the room comfy and the bed comfortable. The little extras - water with fruit, beach towels, and adopting a fish, made the stay special. The mini kitchen was fully stocked for food prep and the bbq area on the first floor made a delightful place to eat. We would definitely stay again.
