It’s nice to have a room with a kitchenette and the location is great. The hotel is dated and lacks amenities like a big pool, a cafe and a bar. The employees were ok but did not explain anything to us and seemed really overwhelmed. It’s just an average stay but expensive.

I think overall this is a decent hotel. The beds are comfortable and the kitchenette is pretty well stocked. I have stayed here before and I would stay again. One thing that to me would be an improvement is if the garbage would be collected every couple of days. Rooms do not receive service until the fifth day of your stay. This was a quick trip so missed the five-day mark. The cans got full. We placed full plastic bag outside of cabinet by door. We experienced a power outage due to Hurricane LaLa, but other than that it was a great trip

Family Vacation
The location is removed from the frantic, but close enough to enjoy all the great things about downtown Honolulu including the beaches. First time in Honolulu, some I'm not sure how other hotels of equal caliber would compare. In this hotel, the pool is great, location great, and the rooms are comfortable. Sadly, we experienced roaches on multiple days. Cigarette butts found their way on our balcony (larger wraparound balcony) and there is active construction immediately adjacent. We were not made aware of this before booking.

Friendly staff, not such great rooms.
We stayed in this hotel with our grandson for a 6 night stay in August 2026. While the staff was very friendly, the accommodations were just fair. We booked a suite with a kitchen . The room smelled very musty. The hotel does not tell you ahead of time that they only clean the room once after 3 nights-. You need to pay extra to get daily housekeeping.We had to empty our own garbage and couldn't even find a housekeeper to get towels. The pool is tiny and there isn't enough seating- the staff don't clean up the pool area so most of the chairs look occupied. We needed to reserve an extra night and they charged us a premium amount - $500. Almost no toiletries were provided. Some of the websites advertise this hotel as 4 star- i would say it is more like 3 star or below. The furniture in the rooms is very old and the outlets are placed in conveniently- I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. The bathroom fixtures were ancient. The shower was a hand held one and not a regular shower.Again, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is a good one. The rooms were mostly clean. So if you need kitchen facilities and don't mind any of these other things, then I would recommend staying here.

My family and I were supposed to stay in the property for 5 days but it was unexpectedly cut short. For the 1 day we were there my family had enjoyed the property very much. I wish we could have stay the entire time but maybe next time. We would definitely come back.
