  The best Dominican resort

  Best hotel I have ever stayed in, hands down, the most incredible island. Service to and from the resort is efficient by free boat. The mainland bar is welcoming and staff are lovely. Trips were offered and hotel helped to arrange. All food was spectacular and fresh. Beach was out of this world. Would love to return

  Truly a special place

  Truly a special experience from before arriving until leaving! Taking the boat from the mainland to the island where the resort is was such a fun way to start the check-in process! Everything was beautiful, well-maintained, clean and the service was fantastic. It is the perfect place for weddings, retreats, honeymoons, bachelor/ette trips, proposals, anniversary trips, or just a solo getaway. The fitness center, pools, and beach were perfectly thought-out. The programming for soundbaths, yoga and energy healing was some of the best I've experienced. And the food - it was beyond delicious, fresh, and unique. I cannot wait to return.

  A truly unforgettable experience at Cayo Levantado Resort

  Cayo Levantado Resort is a feast for the senses from start to finish. A woven archway crowned with a whale sculpture marks the entrance to Yubarta, the resort's wellness center, where a koi pond and a cenote are tucked among palm trees and gardens, and where classes such as sound baths and shamanic healing take place under large palapas. The beachside pool, with submerged loungers and easy access to the sand, sits close to the Carey restaurant, while the inland pool invites you to relax on daybeds tucked inside red-and-white striped cabanas — a setting that made every moment of rest even more memorable. But what truly makes this experience unforgettable is the service. From the very first moment, we felt truly welcomed — not as guests, but as long-time friends. A very special thank you to Lorena Espinal, our ambassador, who made every day easier and more memorable — always attentive, available, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went perfectly. Her dedication made all the difference to our experience. We would also like to thank Mrs. Yulissa Acosta, for her care and attention in selecting our room — a gesture that showed true dedication to ensuring we had the best possible experience from the very start of our stay. At the Carey restaurant, we had the pleasure of being served by Ingrid and Joselin, whose warmth, kindness, and professionalism turned every meal into a moment of pure joy. And for the entire restaurant service, our special recognition goes to Bladimir, whose leadership, attention to detail, and good spirits were felt at every meal, from beginning to end of our stay. To the staff of Cayo Levantado Resort, a huge thank you for giving us such an unforgettable experience. We will certainly be back!

  An Absolute Hidden Gem – Perfection in Every Detail!

  Our recent family stay at Cayo Levantado Resort was nothing short of spectacular. This property is a true hidden gem, and while we almost want to keep it a secret, a resort this well-run deserves the highest praise. We are already planning our return! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this is a beautiful, world-class resort. The property itself is stunning and immaculately maintained, with spotless cleaning everywhere you look. It feels like a private paradise where no detail has been overlooked. What truly sets Cayo Levantado apart, however, is the execution: The Staff: Every single team member we encountered was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. It is obvious that the staff is highly trained; their amazing attention to detail made us feel completely taken care of throughout our entire stay. The Culinary Experience: The food and drinks are of exceptional quality. Every restaurant delivered fantastic meals, offering great variety and excellent service. It is rare to find a resort that balances luxury, flawless management, and a warm family atmosphere so seamlessly. We hope this place continues to shine just as it is for years to come. We will definitely be back! The only thing I would ask they improve is the speed of the check-in process. It was over 1 hour for just 2 rooms checking in. Other than this, our stay was just perfect! Congratulations to the staff and management of this amazing propery!!

  Tropical Escape

  Our adventure began with our catamaran transfer to the private island in Samaná. We flew into the private EPS airport which is recommended. We were greeted with a refreshing coconut cocktail and escorted to our suite. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and centrally located. We learned more about the private villas during our stay that are dotted throughout the property. There are three restaurants Carey, Santa Yuca, and Senda. They all provide excellent casual to elevated selections. The Santa Yuca offers a menu primarily sourced from the resort’s garden and local produce. However, Senda offers a ten-course tasting experience that should not be missed. The restaurant pays homage to the work of legendary Dominican poet, Pedro Mir, and takes guests on a journey through local cuisine and culture. The menu includes notable Dominican risotto, beef mamawana, coconut shrimp, and sea bass. The presentation is worthy of a Michelin nod and mixed with complex flavors of the island. Sr. Sanchez, senior produce manager is very much engaged with the staff and guests to ensure exceptional service. The beach is exceptionally clean and well supplied with cabanas. The spa offers services for an additional cost. Finally, the Yubarta is an oasis to reflect, meditate, and gaze at the impressive koi pond. We would love to return for a longer stay of at least one week in the future.
