NO complaints.
Cayo Levantado earned 4 Stars by Forbes Travel Guide ... Yes, expensive ... but worst each penny. Good team work under professional management. Special to Erasmo Lopez ( Arquitecto sensorial ) for his dedication and help. Definitely will get back next year.

OUTSTANDING 2 WEEK STAY
We returned to paradise this year for 2 weeks as our first stay on Nov. 2024 was so amazing we had to come back! It made the Forbe’s list for a very good reason. From the time you arrive, you are made to feel like you are the only guests. The staff are all so welcoming, warm and friendly. Our Ambassadors, Mariela and Emma were terrific and kept us informed on all the daily activities, such as Yubarta experiences, yoga, sound therapy, and evening entertainment. Emma was kind enough to lend us binoculars and Mariela showed us the lookout on the Island to whale watch. It was also so nice to get our dinner reservations sorted out so early on in our stay. Also Alexander who was not our Ambassador, but seemed to be everywhere, was so helpful and friendly. The food was exceptional on all levels. The choice and presentation whether is was poolside for lunch or formal dinners at Senda, Carey, Santa Yuca or our personal favourite, Manaya were all superb! The breakfast buffet is huge, again with unlimited choices but if you wanted something specific, I.e. eggs benedict they will accommodate you and make it on request….pretty fabulous service!! Special shout outs to Luis, Miguel, Bladimir, Nival and all who assist, Doris, Carlos, Dainreni and so many more. The bartenders were always at the ready and special thanks to Yorgelis and Sanael who always had our Pinot Blanc ready and George, Glen and Pablo for their specialty drinks at the beach. The rooms are large, comfortable and well designed and we had a nice view from our balcony. The bedding is soft, clean and inviting and the bathroom toiletries are plentiful. The Housekeeping staff are so quiet, efficient and discreet and I was only able to get Petra’s name because I had forgotten something in my room. As an added bonus each evening when you return to your room, your towels have been replaced, turn down service has been provided complete with slippers by your bedside and unique gifts made by local artisans with a description have been left for you to take home. The 2 pools are always clean and well maintained as well as the beach. All areas offer plentry of chairs, oversized umbrellas, day beds and sunscreen is on hand in a 30 or 60 SPF, such a thoughtful addition. A big thank you to Laura at the beach who always had a basket of towels to get you started and such a warm friendly young woman who was always smiling and happy to see you. A special mention to Keddy, who remembered us from our Nov. 2024 stay. He was always available to drive you to or from the beach or to different restaurants if you didn’t want to walk or it was raining. Keddy is truly a gem as are all the staff we interacted with! I would be remiss not to mention Paola Melchor, a hands on Manager who was very personable and wanted to ensure your stay was perfect and willing to accommodate your every wish. If you had any concerns or questions, they were addressed immediately and she even took the time to wish us a safe trip the day we were leaving! This Resort ticks all the boxes for us. The food, the rooms, the staff, the local musicians, the pianist, the peaceful atmosphere, the cleanliness and the environmentally responsible thoughtfulness throughout the resort. The fact all water is served from glass bottles that is made on site using advanced atmospheric condensation technology and there is no plastic is so refreshing! This is truly a luxurious, quiet resort that focuses on wellbeing so take advantage of the Yubarta and leave the little ones at home if you can. Many thanks to all who made our stay so memorable and we will be back next year!

Precious and most memmorable visit!
What a fantastic resort! This place is worth every penny you spend. I stayed there with my mother stayed there for 3 nights and had most delighful stay. Impressed with incredible and genuinely warm staff, impecable service, great food and drinks in the most unique atmosphere on a trully Paradise island. Everyone we met during thia short stay left a mark and we certainly will come back. A very big thabk you to Alan, Betty, Kaysey and Maria at the breakfast and restaurant, to Carmen (Melissa) and Yoyan at La Molienda and everyone else I did not mention. What a magical place. And if you stay in the room with ocean view you will never want to leave!

Tropical island paradise.
We visited this resort twice, prior to the new owners taking over a couple of yrs ago. I knew the resort had a real tropical feel to it - much more than most hotels, but the facilities and lounges, bars etc were all getting very old and dated. The new owners have invested many millions of dollars in renovating all of the facilities and the resort is definitely a 5* hotel. The decor throughout the resort is very impressive. They kept the old colonial vibe with rattan chairs and couches everywhere. The individual rooms are quite large, beautifully decorated and most have a view of the ocean. The services are excellent. The food was very impressive with a large variety of dishes. The food was always tastefully presented on flatware that I'm glad I did not have to pay for. Entertainment is very limited. If you are looking for an evening nightclub atmosphere, this is not the place. There is some music, and other events but the resort is very quiet. Note - all the roads are paved with uni-blocks/bricks which my wife tells me is not conducive to walking in high heals. There is an excellent shuttle service with golf carts that can transport you your resto or back to your room. Language was an issue at times but everyone just laughs and you end up figuring out what you want to say. There are several resto staff that speak good English and if sign language does not work, you can ask them for help. In summary the hotel is beautiful, unique (an island) with great food and perfect for a relaxing vacation. On the downside the trip from the Samaná airport is depressing. Filth and garbage strewn all along the road. If that upsets you, get on the shuttle bus, open a book, and don't look out the window for 60 min. Other than that, you will be very impressed.

Beautiful quiet hotel
Such a beautiful property, I really like how while being a big hotel it always feels calm, there are so many places to relax across the property. The decor is very nice and elegant. Rooms are big and comfortable, the plunge pool is way to small tho, wouldn’t call it a plunge pool. Food and beverages are very good, it doesn’t feel like an all inclusive hotel. The amount of staff per guest ratio is very good, everyone is very kind but the problem is that some of the staff are nit efficient, having to ask for a cup of coffee 5 times? Waiting 40 mins between the first course and the main dish? Sometimes it feels like the staff gets overwhelmed with simple things. Getting your order right at breakfast… almost impossible! But it’s a beautiful hotel. If you are patient you will get an amazing experience. The wellness center is great, the sound healing flotation experience was my favorite. Massages… if you can, skip them, definitely the weakest thing of the hotel.
