  Gorgeous hotel, reasonable prices for the services you get.

  It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Magma resort, staff went above and beyond for our needs. Rooms were with an amazing view and main infinity pool was fantastic. Only one issue we experienced is the spotty Internet, but that can be addressed and easily fixed. This hotel is a bit outside of the main roads and center of the nightlife Fira, just something to keep in mind that you will need either your own transportation, or use a taxi service.

  A wonderful experience at Aegeo Spa, Santorini

  My husband and I recently visited the Aegeo Spa at the Magma Hotel in Santorini, and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Carolyne, the assistant manager, took such warm and genuine care of us. A special mention for Carolyne — she recommended treatments to us with such warmth and without any hard sell, which made the decision to book feel completely natural and easy. We even received an extra 15 minutes added to our treatments as a lovely little bonus. I started with a Cretan scrub followed by a deep-tissue, sports-like massage, and it was exactly the reset my body needed — firm, skilled, and deeply relaxing all at once. My husband opted for an aromatherapy massage and a facial, and he came out looking (and feeling) like a completely new man. Then on Friday, I returned for a facial with Paulina, and it was simply superb. My skin has never felt so hydrated, soft, and radiant — I was glowing for days afterward. A huge thank you to Paulina and Eva for the outstanding quality of their treatments — their skill and attentiveness really made the experience. Finally, a special mention for Villy, the manager, who oversaw the whole team and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The whole team — Paulina, Eva, Carolyne, and Villy — created an atmosphere that felt personal, professional, and genuinely caring. If you're staying at the Magma Hotel, do not miss the Aegeo Spa. We'll absolutely be back on our next trip to Santorini.

  Lacking and not five-star service, but nice property

  We stayed at Magma Resort to celebrate our anniversary. The resort did not do anything special to help us celebrate our anniversary, and did not even acknowledge an email sent a week before arrival. Our travel adviser even had to email the resort, as we did not receive any reply. I must say that this was a bit of a disappointment. Whoever designed Magma Resort is a genius. The design of the hotel is exceptional and the materials and overall concept is very in keeping with the surrounding environment, with a modern twist. The team running the resort were great and were very helpful. Standouts for us were the brilliant Concierge, Sarah, reception team, and housekeeping. The restaurant and standard of the food and wine was also exceptional and the ambience generally pleasant. Breakfast buffet was good, but not exceptional. The Rock Bar and pool team played loud techno music throughout the day which progressively got louder and louder, and was not at all relaxing as this is where the pool relaxation area is. The Rock Bar staff were non-plussed and it seemed to us that it was beneath them to even acknowledge guests let alone engage with guests. Our suggestion is to change the music to a more relaxing genre of music, and to ensure that there is a change in attitude where guests come before themselves. Not a five-star service. We normally love to experience several spa treatments during our vacation, and the spa treatments looked very good on paper for Santorini. However, we were put off by the spa manager and team, and in the end we did not book for this reason. The age profile of guests was younger than ourselves, so it may be that the resort is not appealing to the over 50’s market. We stayed five nights and were slightly relieved to have left. The location is generally quieter, but not very convenient for locations such as Oia. If you are coming to Santorini for the famous sunsets, then this is not the property for you. The resort has a transfer service to Fira to see the Caldera sunsets which is very helpful given the location, but with only a few times and a lack of a late night pick up, we were generally reliant on €25 each way taxi service. The manager (whoever she/he was) was invisible and didn’t seem to care about guests. Magma Resort has many positives, but also a few negatives for us. All-in-all, a positive stay with great staff, a good restaurant, and well designed property.

  Beautiful Resort with Incredible Service

  Our experience at the Magma resort was incredible. We received excellent service from the moment we arrived till the time we left. We especially loved our experience in the Aegeo spa. A special thanks to Carolyne, Villy, Paulina, and Anna for the wonderful treatment we received in the spa.

  Relaxing stay

  Great resort away from the hustle. Staff are attentive and will work hard to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Would return without hesitation. Spa treatment was superb.
