  Stunning Hotel in amazing location shame its a Mélia property

  Had a fantastic stay at Maison Colbert, it is a stunning hotel in an incredible location. Have to say thank you to Teresa the guest experience coordinator who is amazing and a true ambassador for the hotel. She is a true professional and cares about the guest experience and is exactly the sort of person that encourages return visits. The only frustration is with dealing with Mélia at a wider customer service level rather than the hotel itself. Mélia do. not seem to understand or grasp the concept of customer satisfaction or service delivery and obviously ties the hands of the team on site! `my advice would be to manage your expectations and understand the Mélia are far from the best hotel operators, however the team on site, location and stunning property compensate. Cant wait to return.

  Maison Colbert Stay

  Location was great. Very central in respect to most of the city and right beside Notre Dame. Although pricey, the rooms are very nice as well as the hotel as a whole, including the courtyard area. The hospitality of the staff really makes the experience. From making the beds while you’re out throughout the day to ensure your room is clean upon return, to opening the door with a kind greeting and always offering to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You get what you pay for.

  Disappointed and confused

  I just came back from a trip to Paris where I stayed at the Hotel Maison Colbert. The location is great and upon first view of the exterior the hotel seems charming. What confused me and my friend from the beginning is the interior condition of the property and its amenities. Which, while perfectly fine, were most definitely not the five star experience that is advertised on the website and the plaque outside the door. We both agreed that our total experience was roughly a three star level. The staff was very accomodating but undertrained. They tried hard, but its impossible to overcome the rather large deficit. Bottom line. the property is badly in need of updating both in the common spaces and the rooms. So, again, while the location is terrific and the staff mostly very nice, the experience is not worth the price and therefore disappointing. Paul

  Amazing hotel and amazing team close to Notre Dame Cathedral

  Had the most amazing stay in this lovely hotel, great rooms, amazing staff, superb location and it was even more special as we celebrated our union in Paris. The hotel went out of their way to make our stay even more special and really made our day memorable. The front desk staff particularly were full of information and great tips. I would highly recommend this hotel, comfortable, convenient and luxurious

  Great location but???

  Upon our arrival at this hotel it looked great. Check in was good and with lots of information etc. We were given an early check-in which was appreciated but my husband decided to pay extra for an upgrade 😭. The room looked good tho. When we arrived back in our room we received a welcome note with a few treats but they didn't even get our name correct! The breakfast was the best part of the hotel oh and the location was great too. They advertise on their website that the rooms are soundproof but they are not. No floor coverings makes for a lot of noise from above and outside. And if you are unlucky enough to stay when the laundry person arrives you will be awakened by the shoving of laundry trolleys being smashed into each other on entry and then exit right in the middle of the front door The wonderful flood lights that they have to display the courtyard also shines through the curtains and onto your bed. What a waste of power as I'm sure they don't have solar! . I did try blocking it out with towels but didn't work. We did not get any housekeeping service at all during our two and half day stay. Floor was also filthy from snow. I have contacted the hotel direct through their reviews they want you to do and just got fobbed off. they say we did not press the button to request housekeeping which is totally untrue. The issue with the laundry trolleys is not in their control as it is an outsourcing provider. The room was extremely hot upon entering had to turn the heat down. I am from Brisbane Australia which is sub tropical and used to heat but this is stuffy heat. But At least I could open the window
