Do not expect to get the room you paid for .Just got back booked a oceanfront elegance club adults only plunge pool suit .Read several revies about over booking at this resort so I called two times to confirm my room and was told we are getting the room we booked and paid for. Got at check in and was told our room was not assigned yet and come back at 3pm. How can you not have a room assigned when the person is checking in that day ? Came back was told the manger would be right with us .Manger shows up says I am really sorry but we don't have your room we overbooked. I said how is this possible we booked 10 months ago. She said we have system glitches and there's nothing we can do .Asked if we are going to get a refund for the difference since this is the most expensive room category . She said no we can not do that you will have to talk to your travel agent .She did not care at all that I was so upset just keep saying sorry there's nothing I can do since we overbooked that room. Terrible customer service on all levels. Would rate it a zero if I could.

Food and drinks were great and 90% of the service was excellent. Housekeeping impeccable our room had some cosmetic issues but nothing bad. I had been to the Sister resort of this property in Punta Cana two months before and found the club lounge there 100% better than at this location. They would run out of the powder for the coffee machine and nobody seemed to care. That was upsetting because you get up crack of dawn and go to get coffee in the club lounge and the coffee machines out of powder. Our check-in was beautiful. Our Butler was superb. His name was Stellian but we renamed him stallion. The seafood restaurant, Seaside was my favorite. The steakhouse was very good. Wasn’t too impressed with the Middle Eastern restaurant. Buffet was good and Italian restaurant just OK. I understand they just got a new food concierge so I’m hoping those restaurants that we’re lacking will improve as well as the club lounge. The patios on the swim out suites are wonderful. I didn’t get to see any other room so can’t advise. Also a note they had amazing juice concoctions at the coffee shop in the Dominican Republic, which they did not have here. For me that was kind of a big deal cause I really liked them. The best bar was in the lobby far above. Of note Bladamir was an excellent bartender. I would definitely return to this resort as I think it will continue to improve. One other thing that I did note the canopy beds on the beach in the Dominican Republic were way more comfortable. They had backs that split so you and you your traveling companion could be at different levels of support, at Costa Mujeres, they just stay flat. All in all we had a nice vacation and as I said, I would do it again.

Business Trip
The resort was great, food was great, entertainment was great! The White Show, the Fire Show, Michael Jackson Show and Wrestling were amazing! Ricardo is a great entertainer!
