Horrible experience. Went with extended family for Christmas. 9 rooms adult club level. Told by manager Angel Garcia that they can’t accommodate dinner for large groups of 17 like we were! This is supposed to be a family friendly hotel and if I’d known they can’t accommodate large groups we would not have come. We had come in the past and had no problems. We went to majestic in Dominican Republic and also had no problems. According to Angel Garcia a group as large as ours needs to pay extra to have dinner together….news to me! The only reason I was even talking to the manager was that I had called the front desk for 20 mins and no one answered. I had to put my shoes on and walk over. The reason…I’d asked for extra pillows all day. I’d asked 6 times and finally at 11 pm I had to walk to the front desk. While they I mentioned that my twins had a birthday that day and I’d gone to guest services to make sure we had a reservation ( at the buffet , not even a specialty restaurant) and a cake. I was reassured it was set but when we arrived no one knew anything! Instead of diffusing the situation live any good manager would do, Angel Garcia never apologized once or asked how he could make things right. Instead I left more irate. Save your money and DO NOT come to this hotel. It’s a scam and you will leave more annoyed than when you arrived.

Ricardo was the best part of the day! He was entertaining and got everyone hyped!! There should be music played all day at the pool!! The Queen show was so fun!!

I love how friendly everyone is and the shows are good. The seafood restaurant has good food, but we had to wait forever and it was cold.

Overall resort/trip was relaxing with 2 young kids What stood out: - modern, aesthetically appealing resort - rooms were spacious, clean and modern. It was worth upgrading to swim out pool. - beach sand was nice and little seaweed (no solicitors anywhere!) - kids club was wonderful at keeping kids busy with activities. Loved how they had some activities outside instead of only indoor. Alondra and Star were excellent and engaging with the kids. - drinks at the main lobby bar with Erik were amazing. A lot of care and detail for the drinks which was appreciated. - Mexican restaurant was the best one (filet mignon especially). The steak there was better than any of the steaks at the steak house. - spa was beautiful inside, massage was fine, would’ve preferred more pressure. - live music at Lobby bar some nights. - the bar at reception floor was great also. They made nice drinks and coffee. - loved the fresh fruit smoothies at buffet What can be improved: - food was just average at the rest of the restaurants (besides Mexican) - entertainment was nothing spectacular Other things to note: - lots of weddings at this resort - more of a quiet type of vacation - main pool didn’t have much action and not big pool - about 40min drive from airport, even longer if there’s other resort drop offs. Ours was over an hour. - mosquitoes at night, bring spray! - not a big resort so it was easy to get around but not a whole lot of exploring you can do. Overall would give it 4/5.
