  Great vacation with a fun staff

  Our stay with Majestic was awesome, Sanyel was on top of everything we needed for our rooms and made booking any activities a breeze. Would 100% stay again!

  Beautiful Resort with Lots of Activities

  This was my first time staying at the Majestic Mirage. Previously, I've stayed at the Majestic Elegance (at least twice but it's been a while). Pros: Easy check in with a cool towel and drink plus access to snacks and drinks nearby. Beautiful clean resort with spacious clean rooms. Lots of activities and entertainment. The Michael Jackson show is a MUST SEE! Really nice and clean pools with attentive and friendly staff. Lots of sun or shade depending on pool location. Chairs were fairly easy to find. Shout out and many thanks go out to Ramon who overheard us talking about getting a float for the pool. He went out of his way to get us 2 that a previous guest left behind. Unfortunately we were out of tip money and had to go back to the room to get more. For 2 days we looked for him at the pool and beach but we were unable to find him. So THANK YOU RAMON! I hope this review gives you some credit. Prior to that, we had asked our butler where to find floats and he told us to go to the store and buy them. This resort offers lots of room for a fitness walk or run between the 3 resorts. Club lounge was fine. You can get plenty of water, soft drinks, juices, wine beer and other alcohol beverages. There was a coffee machine with all types of coffee (except decaf) available 24 hours a day. Food offerings were ok. Nice beachfront patio. Beach: lots of chairs on the soft sand with beautiful clear blue water. Seaside restaurant: surf and turf was good. Poche was always smiling and made us feel welcome and appreciated. Service was great. Breakfast and lunch were pretty good. The ice cream was very yummy, especially the pistachio. Spa: a quick 10 minute walk from our room. hydrotherapy was great and the attendants were attentive. My friend especially loved the Turkish steam room. I especially loved the mimosas! They make the best! Shout to Claudia, my masseuse who gave me an amazing massage. Cons: Butler service: our particular butler, Leonel was not very good. Service was disappointing and we are not demanding at all. Compared to the many other butlers and concierges we had at other resorts and cruises, he was one of the worst. He failed in ordering room service for us. After waiting 25 minutes we called down and found out it was never ordered. He said he did, they said he didn’t. Either way we were disappointed. Especially after we gave him $20 to get things started. He would check in via text with us at the end of his shift to tell us to call 30004 if we needed anything. Again we typically only ask for the basics like a restaurant and spa reservation, which he did do. This can easily be done on the app. He apologized and had a bottle of the usual resort Chardonnay (which we could get anywhere) sent to our room then waited around for a tip which we didn’t offer. On the last day, he found us at the pool to confirm our late check out time of 1:30. He also wanted to send a bellman up to get our bags but we declined that service. Typically check out is at noon. We returned to our room at 12:15 only to find that we were locked out. I asked one of the cleaning staff if she could let us in but she wasn’t allowed. I understand that. She directed us to reception. On my way, I found another butler who got us in our room right away. Then at 1:00 a bellman comes by to take our bags. We declined again. Apparently, Leonel sent him anyway even after we said no. Having a butler was more trouble than It was worth. We would’ve had more time enjoying ourselves than dealing with him. It’s easy to take a few minutes to make our own reservations and call down to reception to get things done. Towels: lack of washcloths and hand towels which is typical of many resorts in the Caribbean. Sort of expected that. We had to keep asking and finally got some. The bath towels were huge and cumbersome but did get the job done. I think a standard sized bath towel would work better and dry quicker. Food: meh. Just ok. We ate at the steakhouse. Steak was fine. Veggies were meh and not hot. This is also typical of most all-inclusive resorts that I visited (except the LeBlanc, of course). Seaside restaurant: lobster was over cooked. Room service: when we finally got our room service delivered 2 hours late, it was cold. Eggs & pancakes were cold. Bread wasn’t toasted. There was no butter, jelly or syrup and no coffee cups for the coffee. Don't waste your time on room service! Coffee: it’s the DR so coffee selection was good and coffee is delicious however there was no decaf offered except at the coffee shop but that doesn't open until 8am. All in all the pros outweighed the cons in my opinion. I would definitely return. By the second to last day, We figured out how to eat and get relatively good food there. Just stay away from the lobster.

  Pablo made our stay absolutely AMAZING! It was beyond our expectations! It was our anniversary celebration !! 🎉. We look forward to our yearly visit!!

  Amazing anniversary

  Beautiful 7 day trip. Pablo was excellent as our Butler again, he always takes care of our every need and stays in constant contact with us everyday. The food was was amazing, French, Steakhouse, Italian and Seaside are our spots for food. The drinks were satisfying and the service all around was amazing. The spa treatment was very relaxing. We will return to the Mirage again.
