F206 was simple gorgeous. The view is spectacular, beautifully designed, every amenity you can think of. I’ve been to Maui probably 20 times and this is by far my favorite place, and now I have a new favorite beach!

Mar 03, 2026Disappointing Condo Maintenance/Upkeep
Unit E-204 has gone downhill over the years. We found lots of maintenance issues in our recent stay. Bad hot water pressure in the master shower. Lighting not working over the cooktop and in the closet. Mold in sinks, shower and washing machine. Front door doesn't self-close. One door to balcony doesn't lock. Furniture is old, outdated, uncomfortable and stained. The resort is wonderful, but it feels like the owner of this unit is not spending the necessary time & money to keep the place up to par.

A tropical gem
Makena Surf is a wonderful location. This is our third time staying here. The units vary in terms of size and condition, but the last two we stayed in were impeccable (most recently, E-206. It's one of the more expensive units but worth it--it's beautiful and well maintained). The gorgeous, semi-private beach is a few hundred feet away, and the pool and hot tub are delightful. The tropical grounds around the condos are enchanting.
