Great location unfortunately mostly crappy staff
While the woman working the desk when I checked in was nice and helpful other staff was less than helpful and if you asked them anything or asked help getting a lawn chair because they were locked up and the ones that were there were filthy and bowed they were putting them out, argued about getting you a kawn chair and they told you you were rude and asked if you could see because you interrupted their personal phone calls.

Outstanding location
Outstanding condo building, assigned parking space, excellent location with beautiful beach where you can snorkel. Great 808 convenience store downstairs. Various beach items available for reasonable rental prices.

Under Construction, poor maintenance
Under construction. Told May 5th, when I called the restaurant was not under construction and would not be for the dates I specified. When we arrived May 16th, there was clearly construction. The restaurant construction is ugly and noisy and very offended that the hotel management that I spoke to was not more honest. Restaurant has been closed about four years. 808 Market is open fairly decent hours. Otherwise a complete food dessert here. Nearest places are chains Fred’s & Moose’s. Pool nice. Umbrellas, few, one broken always moving. A lot of broken things in our “most recent” remodeled unit, according to the booking thru the Mana Kai website.

Fantastic Beach Front Location
This resort is a unique one in the Kihei/Wailea area. Because of its unique location and the building layout, every room gets a great beach view. The beach is lovely and close. There are great sunset views fron the lawn. This is probably a 70s or 80s building and as a result does not have all the amenities of newer buildings. But the location here is unique and totally makes up for any other issues.

The perfect destination for our Maui vacation
What else could you want when it comes to a place to stay in Maui? We just wrapped up a week at this location and we’re pleased with every aspect of our stay. Room 801 suited us well. It was bright, clean, and comfortable. The extra wide balcony was the perfect place to for wonderful views. The landscaping is all in perfect form with both a Sandy beach and a nice grassy area. The pool is nice with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The 808 store on the property has a lot of greasy food items and really good coffee, as well as lots of those things you may forget to bring from home. You can stay at a more expensive place in Maui, but I don’t know why you would.
