  Homey feel and great location!

  Had an excellent stay in unit 215! It is a 2 bed/2 bath condo that was perfect for our family. The host Vicki was awesome and had great communication with me the entire time. Really liked that there was an ice chest, chairs, refrigerator, store and a comfy feeling like at home. The location was perfect and beach was beautiful! We snorkled right on the beach and saw a monk seal, turtle and lots of fish by the reef. We also used the BBQ grill outside and enjoyed it. Would definitely stay here again!

  Terrible

  Very unhygienic and outdated property. Only book if you want to ruin your stay experience in one of your most memorable trip. The team is not supportive. There were ants in the room and the room smells. This is just a made up unit with patches on the wall, there was no kitchenette.

  Perfection. Absolute perfection.

  I’ve stayed at *a lot* of places in Hawaii and Mana Kai is absolutely one of my favorites. In terms of pricing, I’d put it at a mid-point for the area but the value is incredible. The only drawback is that it’s kinda in the middle of everything and close to nowhere. So if you don’t have a car you need to account for that. The location to beaches is perfect. You’re right on Keawakapu beach and it’s beautiful. And you’re super close to all the Kam beaches for the sunset, but you can still see the sunset from certain rooms at Mana Kai. I have never, in the history of ever, had a property management company meet me at check in just to show me the room and how to work everything. Amazing hospitality from this group. They have thought of everything to make sure your stay is comfy and however you want it to be. Snorkeling? Yup. Right near the lava rocks on the north side of the beach. Excellent swimming with a soft sandy bottom? Yup. Walk ten feet further south. Whales in the winter? Sure. Look towards Lana’i. You’ll see the blows. Watched them all day today. Magnificent. Need more laundry detergent? No problem. Just call and they handle it. Honestly, for the price, you can’t beat this place. It’s amazing. I love it.

  Old and musty

  Disappointed in many ways. Moldy curtains, rotting bathroom, TV that required changing several inputs in order to watch TV on a regular basis, musty. The positive was the location, beachfront.

  Fantastic anniversary stay at a wonderful resort

  My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in unit 801A for a special anniversary. We had arguably the best location and view in the whole building, closest to the ocean but high up with a stunning view. The unit was exactly like in the pictures we saw. It was smartly decorated with modern appliances and was spotlessly clean. Maid service was provided every third day during our stay. The huge sliding glass doors and screen allowed us to blissfully fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean every night. The pool was warm and perfect with several loungers and umbrellas available. And of course the ocean is basically just out the back. The fitness center in the basement had an assortment of working equipment and weights and was popular with guests. Although the basement hallway was off-putting as it was mostly unfinished with storage rooms and such items scattered around. There was also a book library down there in front of the elevators. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The onsite water sports store allowed us to rent SUPs for a great experience on the water. Also, the onsite 808 store was perfect for snacks, drinks, and such for sun-seeking tourists. The location of the Mana Kai was excellent for exploring the town of Kihei as well as nearby Wailea, where the beach path could be accessed for lovely walks (or runs!) by the ocean. We loved our stay and would return in the future. However, it should be noted that it cost A LOT so that definitely needs to be taken into consideration. We certainly paid far more than we had originally bargained for but the cost of accommodations in Hawaii is generally expensive when you include location and amenities and quality.
