Returned from 10 days at Margaritaville Island Reserve with amazing memories. Our butlers Mariel and Isaac handled every request with excellence and professionalism. They are great brand ambassadors for Margaritaville. We absolutely loved the spa. Laura and Lea did incredible work. Our in-room dining experience with chef Christian was outstanding. Incredible presentation and taste. Portion sizes were perfect. We loved our housekeeping staff. They kept the room spotless and everyday felt like we just walked into a new room. We always looked forward to coming back from dinner as the turndown service freshened up the place with our selected aromatherapy. The steakhouse (JWB) was awesome. Don't hesitate to call on Carlos the Sommelier who never failed us with great recommendations. FYI - such a great guy with a sense of humor. Also enjoyed the Italian restaurant with their selection of food and wine. Note we suggest you book a reservation at all restaurants, as it can get busy on some nights. Already booked a return trip.

The staff get 100%, Five Stars! Some of the people who made our vacation perfectly relaxing are: Enrique & Joaquin, our butlers, Febe & Lia at the members check in, Regina & the other Parrot Team members for stretch classes, Ovdeoio/Ovideo & Diego & Juan our servers in the Boat House buffet, Baldo our server in the Land Shark restaurant, Juan, bartender/teacher & Alejandro, Parrot's Team for our mixology class at the SOS Bar. Our housekeeping staff, her name starts with a "U", for room 281/282, Nov 11-21/2024 did a perfect job, thank you. I apologize for not recording more names but please know that this resort has some of the best staff in all of Mexico, they work very hard, are very kind & accomodate the guests in every way they can. I gave the resort four stars only because there was no truly quiet pool to escape the loud music at the party pool. This is a resort for the under 50 crowd though there were more than a few like us (over 60!). We just didn't like the boom-boom-boom base in dance music from the party pool, all day but that's just us. We hid out near the SOS Bar or behind The License to Chill Restaurant but some days we just couldn't avoid the music. It's an intimate resort so that's understandable. However even the reserved members pool is right next to the party pool. Someday there will be a roof top pool or one on the jungle side of the building that will be quieter. I'd suggest trying the pickleball rooftop area, it's quiet up there! Ask your butler to have some Muskoka chairs moved out there for you & then BYOB. Our reservation was switched to this pristine resort when our original hotel (next door) closed for sale & renovations. We dodged a bullet there, it looked sad. Margaritaville Island Reserve Mayan Riviera by contrast is new, lux, beautiful & AMAZING. Note: If you love a big beach, as of 11/2024, the hurricanes have taken away most of the sand. Hurricanes taketh & giveth, it's a cycle. I hope the huge black, sandbags will be installed soon to protect the coast here. At least three feet of sand is missing. However the many pools here are gorgeous. The pool staff are out there early & late to make sure the water is crystal clear, kudos to them. Everything & staff member in every facility - the rooms, pools & decks, our balcony & outdoor furniture, restaurants, lobby, gym, hallways, elevators, sports, spa), food & drinks were excellent. Thanks for a great vacation! We hear that Margaritaville Island Reserve Cancun (the expanded Azul Beach Resort) is much quieter & has lots of adults only areas...it's on our to-try list.

Amazing experience!
So we have been to Mexico many times and this resort was one of the best experiences that we have had! The hotel itself is beautiful, the room was excellent with a great view of the pools and the ocean! The staff here were incredible, there wasn’t a time where we felt that the service in any part of the hotel wasn’t worth 5 stars. I would however like to highlight two individuals who stood out and made our stay very memorable! First is Erick, he was our waiter in The Boathouse (buffet). I have never seen someone work that hard in a restaurant setting. From pushing chairs in for each guest that sat down in his area to offering a hand to help people down a small set of stairs each time they walked up or down them, he would see you come back with soup and immediately bring you a spoon before you had to ask and on top of that he was a pleasure to talk to and always made each meal enjoyable! So thank you Erick! The other person was the beautiful Alexis! She took care of our spa experience and the spa was incredible, it was so good my wife and I went back a second time! She and my wife had a few very nice conversations and was an absolute joy to us and made our spa experience great! Thank you Alexis! The two a la carte dinners were very good. JWB Steakhouse and Frank & Lola’s (Italian) The only thing they didn’t have that my wife wanted was jello at the buffet lol. That honestly was the only thing for us that could have been better. This was a great vacation and we look forward to coming back!

Family Trip
We spent a week at this resort and were very impressed the entire time. The restaurants provided a good variety of quality foods and the Breakfast buffet was a main highlight for us. We were also very impressed with Enrique and Mariel who were our butlers for this trip. They took care of everything from booking dinner reservations to unique service requests and made this trip feel even more special. We would highly recommend this resort and the staff employed there.

Amazing staff
The entire staff was amazing but Enrique and Mariel went above and beyond to make our stay flawless. I highly recommend talking to Carlos at JWB about wine selections. Ericka in Landshark is unbeatable when it comes to service. Donis at the pool bar is always there when you need a drink. Gibran at the lobby bar will entertain you while he makes amazing drinks. We will be back to have another great vacation.
