Clients can pre-reserve their dinner reservations for the specialty restaurants prior to their arrival at the hotel by emailing Chantal Ayala at restaurant@marival.com.mx. Reservations must be made 7 days prior to arrival. No reservations will be taken prior to or after. No reservations will be accepted for December 24-January 2 each year. Reservations apply to a maximum of 8 persons. Any group larger than 8 may still contact Ms. Ayala for special arrangements.

The best service at Mai Tai
Cesar is the most efficient, kindest server! He knows our drinks after only a short time. He gives us advice and we know he cares!

Loved the beach
A very nice getaway! Rooms are large and spacious… but needs maintenance. Not sure WHAT we were hearing all day with 5-10 seconds of high pitch sounds every 5 minutes in our suite… toilets maybe? Hard to get warm water in the shower… Not sure why people were leaving their drinks all over pool deck… looked gross by days end. Beautiful beach! Play time with my grandson was very very enjoyable! Had papaya, watermelon, pineapple and cantaloupe only for 7 straight days as a fruit choice! Everything else was satisfactory food wise. All the shows were mostly Spanish (obviously) but hard to follow. Weekend was extremely full at the resort. The beach would bring me back!

Fun stay with great staff, but restaurants need work
Marival Emotions delivers a fun stay with a few things that could be stronger. The animation team stood out. Ari, Danny, Daniel, Carlos, Fernanda, Bryan, Diego and the Willy Wonka guy kept us entertained all day. They brought good energy. They were lucky to have another guest helping them with English, which made things even better. Louis from the team felt a little arrogant, but I brushed it off. Restaurants need better systems. Getting a reservation is tough. Nothing is automated. You need to stand in line at 8am to book for the next three days. That takes away from the vacation vibe. Silk, the new Asian restaurant, was great. The menu is short but the food tastes good. Mariano, a waiter in training, took care of my table. His smile and positive attitude made the night feel special. Casabella Buffet needs more variety. The menu repeats too often. Even basics like bacon and hash browns were not available. Amalfi served good Italian food. The tiramisu was not really a tiramisu. It was cream without coffee or cookies. Rooms were clean. There was a strange smell at times. Hot water took a while to show up. The sink faucet sprayed everywhere. The hotel has many strong staff members who work hard and stay attentive. My advice for management is simple. Refresh the restaurant menus and fix the reservation system. No one wants to wait in line for thirty minutes every few days just to get a chance at a dinner spot. Overall, the stay was enjoyable with a few areas that need attention

A Great Time
We were very pleased with our stay at this Canadian owned resort. We stayed with our family of 10 including 4 children for the first week and then just two adults the following week. There were great pools for the kids and a dedicated kid’s section at the buffet. We were impressed with the help of concierges Octavio and Jazmin and others. They quickly fulfilled all our requests in a very professional manner. Sofia did a good job with reservations. The Italian restaurant is superior for an a la carte at an all-inclusive resort. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Thank you to Captain Christian and servers Francesco and Luis. Of note, I need a gluten free diet, and this restaurant did a perfect job providing me with delicious gluten free food. The Mai Tai Beach restaurant was also terrific and provided us with delicious meals including a delicious salmon meal. Oscar, the Captain, was excellent. On Mondays at 5:30 there is a party on the beach with great music, drinks, and appetizers. A fantastic way to watch the sunset. We will return to this resort.

Good visit
Alexis was the person in charge of the Teens club for my visit. He did his job well and he helped out if there was a problem :)
