    Our Return Visit Was Amazing...

    We've stayed here before. Love the setting, love the location, and we love Lahina. This particular property is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully staffed. The Maui Kai has multiple condos with a variety of levels to choose. Kalei and front office staff are very helpful before and during your stay. The pool cabana is spotless (it also has an outdoor kitchen and 2 grills that are also - spotless -). Wonderful restaurants, dessert places, and even Times grocery al wishing walking distance. Each unit has a full kitchen so you can dine out or dine in. Perhaps most importantly, each unit is direct oceanfront.

    Spectacular views of the sunset and whales

    Great unit for us. Corner unit with fantastic view of the ocean. Whales and turtles visible every morning. Unit appears to be updated within the last 6 months. New appliances, furniture was high quality. Beach chairs, towels and cooler provided. Need to bring your own canopy or umbrella. Service was great. Highly recommended and we will visit again soon.

    30th Anniversary Celebration

    This was our first trip to Maui and we hope it’s not our last! The location, staff, unit and view were all amazing! And free parking is an added bonus! We enjoyed breakfast on our lanai while watching sea turtles in the water below or whales in the distance. It was perfect for my husband and me! 🌺

    Beautiful sunsets

    First time in Hawaii and the views are stunning. I wanted a place with ocean views. Maui Kai hs the most beautiful sunsets, They are breathtaking. The staff is amazing and very friendly. We stayed in room 705 and loved this room. The room was very clean and it was very quiet. I almost felt like we were the only people there. Pointers if you plan on going to Duke’s make sure you have dinner reservations ahead of time because they fill up quickly. There’s food trucks near by and that helped us a lot. I will be staying at Maui Kai again

    Roadside Motel on the Beach - NOT GOOD!

    I honestly don't know why people are giving this place more than 3 stars except for maybe the location. But, you can put a prison overlooking the beach and it would be beautiful. This place is OLD, outdated, dirty, felt like a roadside motel. Dingy halls, construction barricades/tape/cones/tarp on the front doors that was never removed which shows work was not actually being done. No grass or grounds at all. Sure, it's literally on the ocean, but that's all that is good about it. The room was dirty, no broom or dustpan in sight, no lock on the sliding door to the lanai, LOUD door to the strange vestibule that didn't shut properly, so the neighbors slammed it at all hours of the day and night. The least the property managers could do is fix that door. I don't know that this place can be updated without literally tearing it down and starting over.
