Dec 09, 2025A Perfect Stay on Napili Bay
We loved our stay at The Mauian. Check-in was incredibly easy, and Junior was fantastic — he welcomed us warmly, helped with our bags, and gave us a quick rundown of everything nearby. A lot of reviews mention parking issues, but in our experience it was no problem at all. We always found a spot, and the concern is overblown. The real magic here is the location. Our room was literally just steps from the ocean. Napili Bay is calm, clear, and perfect for beginners — my wife even went snorkeling for the first time, and absolutely loved it. It was an extraordinary experience. If you want a peaceful, beautifully situated hotel right on one of Maui’s best beaches, The Mauian is a true gem. We can’t wait to return.

Nov 14, 2025Fabulous place, would have been 5 star except for the noisy family below
My husband and I stayed for a week here, and for the most part everything was wonderful. Enough supplies for us to make meals, and good, quiet air conditioning, along with a comfortable bed. Lovely balcony and incredible garden, where we could listen to the waves on the fabulous sandy beach nearby. The only problem we had was the family below our unit, who were travelling with a toddler that screamed a lot. We went on holiday to relax from our very stressful jobs, and for the entire week we had to listen to sporadic squalling. However that is not the hotel's fault. Next time we will ask not to be placed so close to a young family!

Shangri-la on Napili Bay! Just Fabulous!
I have been coming to Maui at lest twice a year for over 20 years. I have stayed exclusively in Napili bay because it is such a lovely location and my favorite area on the island. I have stayed in most of the resorts on the bay but there have been changes at some of my previous “go to” resorts which inspired me to keep seeking better facilities. Now I have found my new all time favorite resort. The Mauian! This is by far the most beautifully landscaped resort in all of Napili. The beautiful ambience of the lush landscaping has been a huge contributing factor in creating a relaxing atmosphere. The ocean is very accessible with a short beach before the water edge. I appreciate the amenities available another few steps from my room in the lounge with daily coffee and juice, books, a tv, and computer with printer. Our kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and pots and pans for cooking but so far we have been too relaxed to cook and we simply go next door to the Sea House Restaurant to have our meals. I have been enjoying the pool daily and always bring my favorite floats to Maui as the ocean scares me a bit. I must add while some places I use to stay at have eliminated most of their staff, the Mauian has a very large staff of gardeners and cleaners keeping the rooms and grounds absolutely spotless and beautiful. All the staff have been so kind from our first introduction to Don who we adore to our cleaning lady Leila who cleans our room daily. I am glad we booked a long trip this time and I am thrilled that I know where we will be staying on all future trips to Maui. I cannot recommend this resort high enough and this is an educated recommendation from someone who has stayed at most of the resorts in Napili.

Wonderful stay on Napili Bay
The Mauian is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing holiday in Maui. The hotel is super close to Napili Bay, which is wonderful with its crystal blue water and a coral reef just one minute swim from the beach. The hotel is fully equipped: we could borrow the beach chairs every day, fill up our bottles with fresh water and there are 2 washing machines and driers. You can also get fresh beach towels every day, as well as coffee and juice. There is a pool with sunbeds and 4 grill stations, where you can enjoy a barbecue. The room is not super new but there is everything you need: fresh towels every day and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge. We will definitely come back to this hotel when in Maui next time!

Tranquil and lush taste of old Hawaii
The Mauian is a place to unplug and unwind. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. There are no TVs in the room, but we didn't feel we needed one. They advertise "limited WiFi," but we were able to pick it up in our room and on our patio. Yes, the walls are a bit thin and you might hear some sounds from other rooms. But after a day or two, you get used to it and the beauty of the beach and the grounds lulls you into so much relaxation, you don't really care anymore.
