Top Quality
The Mauna Lani is a top quality resort. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a lovely balcony with great views. The food was good, especially the buffet breakfast. The excursions and amenities are outstanding. The sunrise canoe ride, snorkel trip, and sunrise yoga class were all top notch. There are many other offerings. The two pools and ocean side seating offer options. The hotel has complimentary bikes. There is a nice trail around the property for morning walks. For golfers, you can rent clubs if you don't have them. Overall, this resort is lovely, friendly staff, clean, not crowded, 25 minutes from the airport.

Highly Reccomend
We really loved everything about this resort for our honeymoon! We were very impressed with the complimentary activities like paddle boarding, snorkeling, and sunrise yoga. The whole resort was super clean and the entire staff was just so friendly! The view from our room was spectacular and the food at all of the restaurants is also amazing! I highly recommend this resort for your trip to Kona!!

Dolce Far Niente at Mauna Lani: A Celebration of Love, Life, and Effortless Luxury
From the moment we drove up, we knew this stay was going to be special. The bell staff and valets greeted us with genuine warmth and kindness that immediately made us feel welcome. At the front desk, the experience only got better. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful, and to our surprise we were graciously upgraded from a mountain view to an ocean view room. We were visiting to celebrate our anniversary, our babymoon, and my wife’s birthday, and that upgrade alone already put us over the top. But what happened next truly set the tone for the entire stay. Within the first half hour of arriving, after settling into our room, a staff member came to our door with the most thoughtful surprises. A birthday cupcake for my wife, a baby onesie for our babymoon, chocolates, and chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary. The care and attention behind those gestures made us feel genuinely seen and celebrated. We were honestly overwhelmed with gratitude and joy. From that point on, everything about our stay felt effortless and perfect. Every single staff member we encountered, from the market to the restaurants, from the beach service to the pool and hot tub areas, embodied warmth, friendliness, and true hospitality. The property itself is stunning and peaceful, with beautiful paths that make it easy to walk, get outside, and enjoy the surroundings. Seeing sea turtles along the beach was an unforgettable highlight. This was the best vacation we could have asked for. It was unhurried, restful, and deeply meaningful. We spent our time together simply relaxing, doing nothing, and soaking in the beauty around us. The Italians have a phrase for this, and it captures our experience perfectly. Dolce Far Niente. The sweetness of doing nothing. Thank you to the entire Mauna Lani team for creating such a memorable, thoughtful, and heartfelt stay. We will cherish these memories forever and cannot wait to return.
