    Excellent Accommodation and Experience

    Wonderful resort with excellent customer service and atmosphere. The staff were amazing, the food was great, and the amenities were fabulous. Probably the best hotel experince that I have had with respect to the hotel management making sure that our experience was the best it could be. The beach out front is lovely, and a short walk down the beach to Playa Azul provides some excellent snorkeling. Food options were great, especially with the buffet. Consierge made it easy to book and participate in many activities.

    Nice place to stay!

    The staff was super friendly and hard working! We were glad to have special services for our race-bike mechanic, early breakfast and transportation. The resort was quiet and clean. We liked that there were separate family and adult areas. The beach was nice and the food was tasty! We also enjoyed the specialty restaurants.

    Great stay!!

    I’ll never forget Luis, the lobby bartender. Remembered me and my family’s drinks all week. Nice guy. Hands down one of the best.

    Best bartender at Cozumel Melia

    Amazing time, the bartender Don Luis made it memorable! He was attentive, and made very good drinks. He worked at the bar by the lobby in the eveings, and it was our favorite part of the day.

    We DO NOT RECOMMEND - in progress

    Our opinion may change if Melia management finds a way to resolve the situation, but so far our family of 20 adults and 4 children is disappointed. This resort is unable to accommodate dinner reservations for groups larger than 6–8 people. Before booking our family reunion, we researched this property thoroughly, and at no point was it mentioned that the resort is too small or that the restaurants do not have the capacity or staffing to handle larger groups. Having dinner together is an important part of our vacation: spending time as a family is the main reason we are here. In addition, the buffet quality has been unexpectedly low. One family member ended up eating breakfast cereal for dinner because the dish labeled “lasagna” was not edible, and the pizza looked more decorative than consumable. There were no green salads, no gluten-free options, and the cheese selection was extremely limited. I did not take photos yesterday, but I do have some from this morning’s breakfast. I will continue updating this review as our stay progresses. I truly hope the administration can find a solution and help make our vacation memorable for positive reasons.
