  Location great security is lacking

  Not 4 star. Room was compact. Could do with a good clean. We arrived late and checkin although it was done online seemed to be very difficult. When got to room key didn’t one and the worker had to open it. The following night there was no one in reception when came into hotel then when came back to get new key again the name was not checked just access given to the room. Also 1 set of towels for double room. This made me feel very unsafe blocked door with luggage. Location is excellent. Close to sites a and nice places to eat

  Mediocre and Overpriced

  The ACs are very hot. When I complained to the front desk, the lady told me this is how their ACs are… we are in the middle of Summer! Also, housekeeping crumpled the clothes I forgot on my bed and tossed them on the sofa. One last thing to flag: the furniture / state of the room is outdated and old. Would not recommend given their prices.

  Great location, mediocre hotel

  Average boutique hotel, no frills. The hotel is in a great location, close to a metro station and walking distance to several landmarks. There are some great bakeries and coffee shops right downstairs. We were frustrated at check in to find out that we had booked two rooms for four people with two beds each, and the hotel was giving us only one double bed in each room and that all other rooms were booked. Also do not rely on the front desk staff to be helpful at all. We were struggling to figure out an issue with the metro and asked for help and the woman at the front desk was very unhelpful.

  Worst hotel

  The hotel only has one elevator that fits three people, and the second elevator was out of service for all five days of my stay. I had two rooms during my stay. Room 110 was for my three children, and it had a leak in the ceiling that soaked all of their clothes. I stayed in room 605. The tiny three-person elevator only goes up to the fifth floor, so from there you have to climb a very narrow spiral staircase. The rooms are literally in the attic of the building. The staff, who were all Spanish, were completely inefficient and kept insisting that nothing was their fault. The room telephones, at least in the two rooms we had, did not work. There was no bellboy at all, and there was only one person vacuuming the hallways who, instead of helping guests, would simply drag the vacuum cord across your path as if trying to make you trip. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

  Unethical experience

  We booked a week stay at the Melia Paris Champs Elysees last minute. The room was rather small but nicely appointed. Location was good with restaurants and shops nearby. There were duplicate charges for coffee (minimum $18 in the morning), the cleaners kept coming into the room even though we had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. The biggest complaint was using their cleaning/laundry service. Using the inroom order form seemed straight forward, however, after receiving the clothing back the company they crossed out my clothing choices, made other choices, and the bill ended up being over 58 Euros to wash 3 pairs of socks and 4 tights. The hotel did not stand behind the vendor they were representing in their rooms, but rather said they had no authority to question the behavior/choices of the vendor to change my order form. We will not be back.
