  A quaint hotel with all the amenities. Smaller in size which means everything is easy to access. Very clean and well kept . Rooms are spacious in the tower which are newly renovated . Staff are friendly and very attentive . Upgrading to an ocean view is worth it. Views are stunning . Food is fantastic! Such a great variety. Would have been nice to have more than 2 ala cart restaurants but the buffet was always enjoyable The Malecon and the marina are fun places to visit . The most authentic people , food and sites . We will be back PV

  Overall a wonderful stay

  Just returned from 8 days at Malia PV ... we had a very nice stay ! The hotel itself is very open ,airy and very clean. The front desk staff were accommodating and helpful, Luisa who checked us in was very focused on making sure our stay was everything we expected and definitely helped do just that ! We enjoyed the food at the buffet for the most part but it seemed a bit repetitive at times, the a la carte restaurants helped balance that out. The noise level wasn't an issue for us at all, being a family type place meant most folks were quietly back in there rooms by 10 or 11 pm (us included) Room views very a bit but it seemed like you could see the ocean from most balconies, the higher up the better in my opinion. Rooms were very spacious and clean and we didn't feel any pressure to have the cleaning staff in every day... (they were wonderful BTW...TIP WELL!) usually every 2nd day works for us for the cleaners. Bottled water was available upon request at no extra cost (as many as we needed) The lobby area is huge with beautiful decor and plenty of comfortable seating in the mezzanine area. Nice walkways through the garden areas with water features and flora everywhere. Location is desirable as it's close to the marina which is quite nice, nice beach area as well. Lots of activities too ... everyday there's something going on. Archery (Maylin was amazing) I enjoyed the yoga class each morning (shout out to Alejandra (who is most excellent), Sofia and Anna) Paddle boarding and kayaking ( Mauricio is a rockstar) Overall the value was reasonable in my opinion, you can upgrade to premium (we didn't feel the need to) I would recommend this place !

  90% Great Experience

  My wife and I and our daughter and husband went for four nights December 2-6. From check-in with Ian. We had two Jr. Suite Rooms in building 1 1707 and 1415. Quality of room and amenities were fantastic. View in 1707 Corner Ocean view room probably the best we have ever had. Daughters room had same amenities and size but no where near the view from the fourth floor. They have 3 restaurants and a snack bar with good choices. Make your reservations as early as you can as they fill up quickly for the Fish, and the Mole Taco restaurants for dinner. The buffet is excellent and food, staff are very good. Again we had Jr. Suites (Not that much more) and receives upgraded rooms, Private Breakfast service and Premium Alcohol choices at all bars on property.. Dinner at Fish House was spectacular and again meal, service and experience were great. Dinner at Mole and Taco is the worst restaurant experience was the worst we could have imagined. I hope it was an off night but it was horrible - Staff, experience were horrible. Food was OK Breakfast at Mole and Taco was excellent and Karen was exceptional. There is really only one large pool for the property-So if your looking for a quiet area they have palapas of the beach. There is no adult area. Betty and the staff at the pool activities are good with something going on all the time. Evening shows are ok - But need to start at posted time - Otherwise you just get a bunch of kids dancing on the stage. Shout out to Antonio at Guest Service to make your stay the best possible. We will be back - but will likely never have Dinner at Mole and Taco again.

  Great resort

  Great resort,food is phenomenal,a lot of Mexician food available,everything is fresh and delicious,staff are very attentive and friendly.Our favourite was the TACOS AND MOLE.

  Short Family Vacation

  Had a wonderful experience and the staff is so kind and friendly. Attended to our needs when requested. Dining was great, delicious and varied. The grounds were spacious and welcoming, with a timeless design and landscaping throughout. Childcare services was also very accommodating and flexible.
