Aug 28, 2026Good, clean hotel
I stayed at the Meliá Sevilla in May for 2 nights with 2 friends. We had 3 single rooms. One of the biggest positives was the excellent organisation on arrival. We arrived around 12pm & were really pleased to find that all 3 of our rooms were already ready & we were checked in & given our rooms early. Also the 3 rooms were directly next to one another, which was perfect for us The breakfast was good with a great selection. I am gluten free & I was particularly impressed with the dedicated gluten free area. It was positioned behind the egg station, slightly away from the main breakfast area, which meant it was less accessible to people simply browsing & therefore felt more protected from accidental contamination. There was a very good selection of gluten free muffins & biscuits. My room was very nice, spacious & comfortable & I was happy with it overall. The only issue I had was that the toilet wasn’t flushing particularly well. I reported this to reception & someone came in & attempted to repair it while I was out. To be honest, I don’t think it was completely resolved, but as I was only staying for two nights & was out most of the time, it wasn’t a major issue for me. The location is good with plenty of taxis readily available & the hotel only a short walk from the palace. It’s a convenient base for exploring Seville.

Great stay!
Just came back from a 3 night stay here. I enjoy reading everyone’s reviews and find them helpful so thought I’d give mine… Location: Great location in Seville. It is literally a 3 minute walk to the Plaza which is great, however, it’s a 20 minute to the centre of Seville, 30 minute walk to Setas de Sevilla and also 30 minute walk to the river. This was great for us as we don’t mind walking but just to make other aware of the walk. Atmosphere: Great atmosphere in the hotel, no complaints. Felt really safe. Felt really welcoming. Rooms: We had a standard double room booked…wow, did not disappoint, it was huge! Two single beds but that doesn’t bother us, big television and huge bathroom with loads of amenities (hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel). Mini bar in the room too, however, no iron! We also found that there wasn’t that many plugs either. We brought an extension lead but if we didn’t we would have struggled but that’s the only down side to the room. They were quiet, couldn’t hear any noise from other rooms or corridors so we were really happy and slept really well too. Cleanliness: We found the hotel was really clean, the rooms, the reception, the restaurant and the pool. Pool: As just said the pool was really clean. It is smaller than we expected and it got really busy when we were there. People reserving beds but then didn’t show up until late afternoon which we found unfair. The pool was freezing despite the hot weather but it did certainly cool us down! You get towel cards for around the pool too. The bar around the restaurant was great. €5 for a pint of Cruzcampo which we were happy with. Food was ok, not a lot of variety but we just asked for portions of fries and they were happy to do that for us for €4. The only downside was because it was so busy, the bar had long wait times. Even when it was really busy there was only 1 person on the bar so eventually we ended up waiting 35 minutes to order two drinks but that was the only negative apart from people reserving beds. Overall a great stay and we will vertical be staying in another Melia hotel again! Thank you 😄

We have just spent 3 nights at The Melia Sevilla with 3 other couples. It is a really lovely hotel with very helpful staff. We booked a ‘Level’ terrace room, which was beautiful I only wished we had more time there to enjoy sitting out on the terrace! We enjoyed our breakfast and also drinks during the day in The Level. The location was perfect for sightseeing and easy to get a taxi or tram into the city. It is also opposite the Plaza de Espana which was stunning! We came back in the afternoons and spent time in the pool and pool bar. We always managed to squeeze in somewhere together even if it was at a table. The pool view looked onto the Plaza de Espana which we thought was great and thoroughly enjoyed the view and atmosphere around the pool area. Drinks were reasonably priced and tasted very nice too!

We stayed in August for my husbands birthday and the location for us was good (about 20 min walk from the center but across the road from Plaza de España). Hotel was lovely and the rooms were nice, however we paid for a terrace room and the air con was not working properly so they moved us to an "upgraded room" which was ok but didn't have the loungers we wanted! Staff were great very friendly and helpful and check in was easy. However the pool! Says it opens at 11am but if you go down there at that time all the beds and seats will be taken! Absolutely no one pays any attention to the timings or about reserving the beds and the staff don't do anything to enforce it! If you want a bed make sure you're down there for 9am, it's not closed off at all so you can just go whenever. If you were to try in the afternoon you absolutely wouldn't get a bed. They also don't open the pool bar till 12:30pm which is far too late and there is nowhere near enough staff! They had 2 people standing there handing out towels and 1 person behind the bar and then 1 sometimes 2 staff members running round trying to take orders, hand food out, clean up and take payment! You end up sitting there for absolutely ages! Or queuing forever to get a drink! Not sure why it needs 2 people to hand towels out when 1 of them could have be more use at the bar area. Food was ok but we ordered burgers one day and they were raw in the middle! Not just a little bit pink but fully raw it was disgusting and put me off eating there again! The outside of the building also could do with a clean it really let the hotel down. Overall nice hotel but few things letting it down. Probably wouldn't stay here again.
