Canal Street Never Sleeps (But You Can)
Staying right on Canal Street puts you in the heart of the action, and this hotel delivers exactly that. Just a heads-up for light sleepers: bring earplugs. The party truly goes all night, and even from the 35th floor I could hear it (bless). That said, this was a very comfortable and well-run hotel. The mattress, pillows, and linens were excellent, the climate control was spot on, and the river view from my room was a highlight. I also appreciated the soft, downward lighting, which made the room feel relaxed and homey after long days out. The hotel bar was a nice perk, the conference spaces were top notch, and everything felt clean and centrally located. Wi-Fi was strong, which made it easy to get work done when needed. A great choice if you want to stay in the middle of the city’s energy while still having a comfortable place to land at the end of the day.

Riverview Experience
We were able to experience one of the newly renovated Riverview rooms and it was an amazing experience. The room felt like I was home, nice, friendly atmosphere and convenient location to several eateries within walking distance. The view out of our window made you not want to go out, just cuddle and watch TV while enjoying the large sofa. The room was well worth it's value and we're proud to be Bonvoy members.

Great location
The hotel has a great location, close to everything but not right in the middle of the craziness. There was some construction noise, but overall it didn’t take away too much from our stay. We checked in on Christmas Day, and while the staff struggled a bit with English, he was still able to accommodate our request for connected rooms. At the time, we didn’t realize that our stay included several perks (which are amazing!). Later on, Cari Wellington, at the front desk, went above and beyond by compensating us for everything we had missed—and more. She truly made up for it and significantly improved our stay. Kudos to Cari! Gisela L.

Decent rooms, poor room service
If you are going for proximity to French quarter and decent, clean rooms this could be a good option. However, if you are traveling with family and relying on it for good room service and food options - look elsewhere. Their room service ordering app is nothing short of a scam. It barely works half the time. Even after getting an order confirmation, their kitchen sometimes won’t even receive the order. If you call the kitchen they are either confused or will tell you to talk to the front desk. And the front desk is hardly apologetic for the issue - they will tell you that the order is “now in the system and you will receive your food in XX minutes”, in an utterly matter of fact way, after you have waited for over an hour since putting in your original order. If this is the service they give to people with Bonvoy Elite status, who knows what the service looks like for people without status. It doesn’t have much else going for it either - the M Lounge is always overcrowded, the front desk experience is mediocre, the bartender is least interested in serving you, the rooms have subpar sound proofing and you can hear the clattering of hangers from the other rooms next to you or the incessant police sirens and loud engine noise from the road.

Another Great Business Trip to New Orleans
I had another amazing stay at the New Orleans Marriott. 1.) The M Club is the best I have experienced among all other Marriotts. Chef Pinky makes omelets like no other. Ms. Joey always has a welcoming smile at the door. 2.) The front desk staff is professional, respectful, and responsive, especially Jerkyah and Cody. 3.) My upgraded room was clean and comfortable thanks to the housekeeping staff. 4.) I got char-broiled oysters at the bar and was pleasantly surprised and impressed. 5.) The common areas are very secure without feeling over-policed.
