Disappointed
Good day, I just recently stayed at the Los Cabos Nobu from Friday, September 20 checking out on Monday, September 23. The resort is breath taking beautiful but the service and food need improvement. Nobu is a high-end luxurious brand. I guess my expectations were just too high. I expected to the red carpet to be rolled out for me. It was not. The service staff needs to be retrained and make each guest feel welcome and special. Upon check out, I was not even asked if I enjoyed my stay or thanked me for staying at the resort. This is not a basic hotel, this is Nobu! Also, Nobu is known for exceptional, elevated cuisine. The food was actually terrible and super expensive. For example, I ordered the roasted chicken at the Muna restaurant. I received a beautifully garnished plate and I asked the server where was the chicken because I could not see it. It was indeed there hiding underneath the garnish, there were 3 pieces of chicken the size of a quarter and about an inch high stuffed with something. Oh, and I received a small dollop of sweet potatoes. All for the low cost of $49. Not acceptable. The taste of the dish was not tasty. We also ordered the lamb shank which was shredded unknown meat encased in a black covering. Awful. And, we ordered the Paella which was not quite edible ($69). The food was not good. My suggestion, please retrain the staff to treat each guest special and please review the restaurant menu offerings. I am a very disappointed guest.

NO MORE NOBU!
If you want to pay premium for no hot water, construction above your room & the fire pit on patio that you paid extra … Not working ALL week, then this is the place for you! There was construction going on in multiple places. Events were VERY loud. They offered a free cabana or an hour at spa for sauna and steam room(steam room not working). So, we wanted to enjoy our room with the private pool and fire pit, not go somewhere else on property. We got 1 day of 6 uninterrupted! I bet we could’ve stayed at the 4 Seasons cheaper. If you want to be pushed into a promotional meeting for time shares or something, then NOBU is your place. Please tell me why there’s no local catch for fish…aren’t we on the ocean?! The steakhouse was the best place to eat. Take me back to another hotel - NO MORE NOBU!

Dirty pool water and construction noise
Just returned from vacation here and unfortunately had a terrible experience of construction noise and dirty, disgusting pool water. The pool water was filthy and covered in sawdust from the construction work that was happening. There were literally chunks of sand paper and debris floating in the pool they expected us to swim in. If I were to put my baby in the water, he could have swallowed some of the sawdust and choked. I have uploaded the photos of this to my review so others can see. There was construction work happening above our room which meant not only could we not use the pool or sit outside, we also could not use our hotel room because of the noise. When we reported it to reception, nothing was done about it. We were traveling with our baby at the time so we couldn’t use our room to put him down for a nap and were left stranded trying to put him to sleep in the restaurant. We reported it again to our concierge who apologized but the construction work still went on and the dirty pool water wasn’t cleaned. When we were leaving we were told by the General Manager that someone would be contacting us about what happened when we got back, but they didn’t. Instead we had to contact them and complain again. The worst thing is that instead of spending our valuable vacation time relaxing, which is what you are supposed to do on vacation, we had to waste our vacation time sorting this out instead and even more time when we returned home. This is time we won’t get back. If you don’t want to pay a 5 star price to have construction noise and filthy pool water to swim in, then book somewhere else instead.

Luxury traveling at its finest! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I wanted to have a luxury travel experience and Nobu exceeded my expectations. From the time I arrived until departure the service was remarkable. It was little things like remembering my matcha order that added a special touch to the experience. The lifeguards, landscapers, room attendants were so kind and attentive. They also assisted with taxi rides for our daily outings which was less of a hassle on me. There were a couple of days we did not leave the hotel because it was so relaxing and we found entertainment in just enjoying the amenities. The food was AMAZING, I did not have bad or even mediocre meal. As a frequent dinner at Nobu Houston, it was a pleasant dining experience to have Nobu at Nobu hotel. Overall, the property was beautiful with the best view of the sunset. The rooms were clean and housekeep did a great job coming in daily. This is luxury traveling!

Bliss and Harmony
We had a phenomenal stay. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt like there was always someone there to help us. The room staff was timely and clean, and every employee greeted us with a smile. The food was by far the best part, yet there absolutely comes a price with that. If you go in with an understanding that you’ll pay for high quality food, there is nothing you will have to complain about. From the decor and style of the hotel, to the ease of getting your pool chair, everything seemed seamless and thought through for a great experience. Our ambassador, Jesus Cota, could not have been more accommodating. He was very helpful with any and all needs we may have had. He was truly the cherry on top of everything we were looking for in our getaway. We will return.
