    Excellent Resort

I will preface my review by saying the Nobu hotel itself is an amazing, high end resort to stay at. All of its restaurants served very good quality food, the service is top notch, and all of their staff are so kind and welcoming. The check in process was easy, however if you get there before check in time (3PM) expect to wait until it is check in time to get to your room. You are assigned a concierge official who you can conveniently text for any questions, reservations, etc. Ours was Michelle and she went above and beyond to make our stay more convenient and relaxing. The room itself was modern and clean, with all the amenities you can think of. The bed was really comfortable. Room service was really easy to reach with a simple phone call or tablet which had the food menus laid out. Our room had the private pool facing the desert, but it doesn’t feel that private because you can see and hear the neighbors, which wasn’t a major concern. The pools were very relaxing and mellow. There is a pool with more music and party vibe if that’s what you’re looking for but also a more quiet pool. Cabanas are free and the sunbeds were very comfortable with nice big umbrellas. Now not everything is perfect and the following is something you should consider before booking this resort 1. Transportation: one of the biggest inconveniences of this resort is you MUST request a taxi when leaving the resort. Ubers are not allowed into the property when being requested but they are able to drop you off. The taxis are significantly more expensive than Ubers, so I feel that this puts their guests at a disadvantage. 2. Location: Nobu is located within the Diamanté properties, along with the Hard Rock Hotel. You are much farther than the rest of the resorts and downtown Cabo than the other resorts. Once you reach the entrance to the diamanté properties, your driver has to go for another 10-15 minutes from twisty roads. I know this isn’t Nobu’s fault but the ride from the entrance to the Nobu hotel can be uncomfortable. So if you plan on staying here, don’t plan on a lot of outside activities. 3. Noise: the floors are all tile (hallway and rooms), so everything that happens in the hallway you immediately hear it in your room. It can be a normal conversation or a child crying. If you’re a light sleeper this might bother you if you’re trying to sleep in. Not a total deal breaker but something to consider. Overall it was a great experience and I can’t wait to be back.

Got Robbed @ NOBU Cabo San Lucas -- Someone Stole Money from my Hotel Room

I've contemplated with uploading this message for many days - and I finally decided that I should as NOBU is such a top notch location...so here it is.... We had my Son's Wedding at NOBU in Sep 2024. and when you get robbed (from your hotel room) on the first day it puts a downer on all the good things this facility had to offer. Because of the wedding I had some cash and they were stashed away (well hidden) in my knapsack. On the first day, I had left my room for less than two hours and when I returned I could not find my cash. While I was gone they had serviced my room in the afternoon. They service the room twice a day @ Nobu --which in my opinion is overkill. It added no value to my experience. (well in this case, I think it de-valued by cash stock lol!) Since the wedding festivities were in full swing, I reported the incident with the hotel staff on my last day there. They were courteous and came to my room to help me look. Obviously, by then I had gone through every nook and corner of my luggage and clothes but the money was no where to be found. They of course said they will go through the camera footage. I was out of substantial amount of cash (thousands!). Can this happen at NOBU! My two cents: to lock up your valuables as soon as you get to the room - even if you are staying at a five star place -- Like NOBU! NOBU was outrageously expensive -- the service was good but when it rained the water came right into the check in area - and into the area outside of our rooms people had to slush through wet hotel towels by the door to get to the check-in counter. The location is OK - as you can't enjoy the beach because you cant go in the water of the pacific ocean. The nearest swimmable beach is one hour away. Additionally, the winds off the Pacific can often mitigate the warmth of the Mexican sun (i.e. feeling a bit cold). It is in the middle of nowhere -- I mean NOWHERE! --we had to drive 3 miles after we entered the gate of the property.... so your choices to eat/drink and entertain are limited to NOBU only. They've GOTCHA! There are plenty of greater locales in Cabo San Lucas. The wedding went well everyone enjoyed and I must thank NOBU's other "honest" staff. If you are planning a wedding at NOBU - please do not bring cash and if you plan to have valuables please please put them away somewhere safe. NOBU is really NO GO for me. Sorry.

    Worse Birthday Experience Ever

The hotel was nice but I would t call it luxury. The food was good but not great as you’d expect. The service was Horrible from the front desk help to the concierge. Nobody was helpful and there was a lack of communication in which the staff seems to have no concerns about. Upon my check in Nobu attempted to charge my card an extra $2K for “incidentals or maintenance” they couldn’t decide which one to go with until I pointed out that none of my documents stated what was being said other than the $500 deposit PER STAY not Day. After that was settled my daughter and I were taken to the outside lobby area where an unmemorable concierge was speaking to us but because I was already irritated I didn’t hear a word she said. The next day I arrange transportation that morning for the evening but when it’s time to leave they claim arrangements were never made!! Then on my birthday we dined at Nobu restaurant, the service was very sub par!!! After our drinks were served we had to wait for a proposal on the beach to take place while the wait staff just stood around and watched before our food order was taken, after that I ordered another cocktail that took 25 minutes to get to me and it only came after asking for the check because I was tired of being ignored. I mean the waiter never even came to check on us until the bus boy told him I wanted my check, then the manger (I think) came over to apologize and give the bill only for both of my cards to be declined through their system which made no sense when one of the cards was the same one on file with the hotel, but they stated it was their Internet connection which is ridiculous and was rather embarrassing the way the waiter first came and said out loud he ran my card 3 times but when I contacted my credit card company they didn’t see any attempts of the charge which I found to be very weird. Then the day before I leave I’m hit with a timeshare offer that I declined despite the many attempts to get me in the deal. The day I leave I had taxi transportation arranged by the hotel that was a shuttle van, I was told I could pay him with cash or card, but when we get to the airport I spend 30 minutes arguing with the driver because he says he only takes cash and all I had was a card. I did get it squared away but not before my blood pressure rose behind the driver and his bosses ignorance on the phone in which I discovered it was someone at Nobu that was totally disrespectful. Lastly I check out and pay my hotel charges, get my receipt and leave. I get back to the US only to see Nobu has placed another charge for $200 on my credit card after I left. Five days since I left and this charge is still pending on my card so upon calling the hotel I get no resolve and no explanation for the charge but I did get rudeness, unprofessionalism, and hung up on. This birthday trip was a big disappointment and I owe it all to Nobu. I spent over $3000 for just the 4 day hotel stay and these ppl are still trying to get more than what was owed. I will never recommend this hotel nor will I ever stay here again. Thank for ruining my birthday Nobu.

    Disappointing experience

Our family had a very disappointing stay here. The check in process took a very long time and the front desk was generally unavailable to help with questions. There were also several issues with our room. The AC did not work properly, the water was hot and cold, and when we requested extra blankets we could not get through to anyone to help with the request. Our kids were also really excited about the kids club, but it was unexpectedly closed and the staff did not know why. The restaurant with more kid friendly food options was closed for dinner due to an event. Also note that this area of Cabo is much windier and colder, which made it hard to enjoy swimming or walking on the beach. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

    0 stars if I could

Unfortunately this resort turned out to be exactly the opposite of what I had expected. Upon arrival I was asked for my credit card and charged the entire amount for the room even though I had prebooked and prepaid through Chase Travel and this was acknowledged by the resort because they gave me a paper with the benefits of booking through Chase. I was told later on the hotel would refund this alas I had to go through Chase to get the refund. Our butler never formally greeted us and only texted me the second night into our stay. Weird but okay no biggie until it came time to try and book dinner reservations. We ate in our room the first night since no way to book and the ipad in the room didn’t really work. By the second night of our trip I realized something was extremely wrong. We ended up needed the on-sight doctor ($200) and leaving early due to me having a staph infection. Hotel told me I couldn’t get a refund for the days we were missing out on and would credit me? Never got a credit never heard back from the hotel. I wish they’d just refund me because this trip was my wedding anniversary trip and I ended up just traumatized. I honestly had such high hopes for a hotel with such a reputation and this place really just dropped the ball. Not sure if they gave me the staph infection but I would steer clear from this place regardless.
