    Excellent service

    Perfect that the place is surrounded by so much nature and animals, and that the service was excellent from Iris and Aleshya, the girls at the Royal’s lobby.

    Great nature landscapes

    Great landscapes, I loved the animals in the road, nice swimming pools. Great attention from Iris and Aleysha from Royall Lobby, and Dafne in the main Lobby

    Fantastic Stay @ The Occidental

    Excellent stay at the occidental. Been here twice now, (which we never do) Rooms were okay, if a little tired. Food was much better than most of the other Caribbean resorts we’ve been to (Cancun, Jamaica, Antigua, Babados, etc.). Themed restaurants, however, weren’t great. Oriental was incredible, but Mexican, seafood, steakhouse, and Italian were not great. This stay was even better than the last one in 2017. All the staff were super helpful, didn’t expect tips (but you wanted to give them anyway!) Ramon at the snack bar and Monica in the oriental restaurant, In particularly were very helpful, always providing service with a smile and expedience. Cannot recommend enough!!

    Royal level at aoccidential is a notch above!

    The royal club was a nice step up from the rest of the resort. It’s all very nice and all of the staff are extremely helpful and kind. All of the staff were easy to communicate with and happy to help use. The Royal level has their own pool, free room service and their own restaurant. The food is amazing and service is top notch. The ladies at guest services in the Royal area are top notch! They helped with everything you could ask for! Aleshya, Iris, Giovanna and Sandra are always available and always had an answer or help for any questions we had.

    Review of Barcelo Occidental at Xcaret, Cancun

    We stayed at Barcelo Occidental at Xcaret, Cancun from October 12–18, 2025, in a Junior Suite, and had an amazing experience! The resort was spotless, beautifully maintained, and easy to get around. Our room was spacious, modern, and housekeeping did a fantastic job every day. We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff surprised us with champagne and a cake—a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. Special thanks to Lorenzo, Hansel, Giovanna, and many more for their incredible service. Their kindness and attentiveness were second to none. The food at both the buffets and specialty restaurants was excellent, and every staff member we met was cheerful and professional. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable all-inclusive getaway!
