Nov 12, 2025GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILY VACATION
the hotel is very large with tons of activities. food was good, the steak house was my favorite, from steak to sides all was very tasty. there was a bit of noise in the first floor. house keeping was loud, but i think thats just part of what happens when you are ground floor. beach was stunning, ruins and green areas very pretty. staff was friendly, lots of activities for kids. buffette was well sorted and tons of fresh options

We celebrated my wife’s birthday party at Xcaret Occidental with 25 people and we had a really good time. From the moment we checked in until check out the staff was very helpful, the buffet personnel was fast with their service and always had a good attitude towards customers. The personnel at the bars were fast and had a good selection drinks. Walking around we good to encounter different types of animals which the kids loved. Overall an amazing experience.

Me and my wife really enjoyed our time here all the staff are very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to concierge team in our building 19 Qvo and to Alfredo the coolest bartender Gracias. Esperamos regresar pronto

First, I would like to give a special thank you to Efrain de Valdez, Javier Couoh, Leonor Hul, Apolinar Dzib, and Hernan Hernandez for their spectacular service. You all made our experience even better with your warm, friendly hospitality. I pray that people are appreciative of your services and your smiles. Thank you!! Second, the food was subpar all around. The best food we had was at the steakhouse. The poor service we received from the Sports Bar was very strange. The guy was very impatient especially for our first time arriving and the food was not good at all. The staff at the main buffet and the beach buffet were very accommodating and kind, although the beach buffet was not that tasty either. Paco’s Tacos was good and we finally found some good drinks because the other restaurants did not have good options. The service from the beachside bar was so rude. They don’t even acknowledge certain people and you just stand there while other people are being helped. I give 1 stars for the hotels recommendation to use Barcelo Vaccaciones to book our excursions. We booked a package and they did not inform us our arrival time for pickup had changed so 7 women all dressed up and ready to have fun missed the transportation to our excursion. It was extremely disappointing and the fact that they didn’t care or even try to accommodate us was the worst part. Not only did we spend money, but we took time from our families to plan our trip to a T and we were let down. It really put a damper on things. I highly do not recommend booking with BARCELO VACCACIONES for your tours and activities. Book directly through the companies. We were in building 21 which is far from the main lobby but close to all the pools. So pick your preference. Our room service was great, providing us with fresh towels and a clean room everyday before our return. The grounds are beautiful, but you have to love nature to appreciate its beauty. Lots of monkeys, iguanas, meerkats, etc everywhere. Personally, I was terrified but it was still cool to see. Would I stay at this resort again, probably not, but I am excited to explore its sister properties. Thank you Cancún for having me.

Family friendly resort
Family friendly resort, beach is small but very clean, food was good and offered something for even the most picky of eaters. Overall and very relaxing to spend your vacation.
