Ladies: No tank tops, shorts and beach sandals. Gentlemen: No sleeveless shirts, shorts, beach sandals. **In the Alcazar men are required to wear shirts with sleeves. The 10 days we stayed there were awesome. Juan Carlos was so great to us and he did so much for us. The hotel was great and the food was really good and overall the resort was a great place. I would definitely come back to this place!

Worth the money
We were here for the 2nd year and enjoyed most everything about this resort. Plenty of entertainment, food was good, rooms could use some updates but okay, staff pleasant.

Best Bang For Your Buck
For the price, this place is actually fantastic and definitely exceeded my expectations. (I watched a million different YouTube video reviews about this place and heard all the common complaints). Yes, it’s true that the food is not great, but I knew that going in. But actually it was not as bad as I thought and we did end up having some quality dining experiences at some of the restaurants and even the buffet a couple times. Everything just really needed more seasonings. Both the pools and the beach are extremely clean and well kept. It’s a gorgeous resort. They’re very organized about logistics/transportation which put me at ease. Everything was really easy and stress free. My biggest complaint is how loud it was at night. With all the music going on, and I get people want to party on vacation. But next time I would ask for a room in a quieter part of the hotel. Even ear plugs didn’t help. Best part was just the beauty of the area. Also felt very safe there. People would often leave their bags and phones by the pool without worrying about it getting stolen. The entertainment was great. Staff was very energetic which made for a fun and lively environment. The Foam Party on Saturdays is SO much fun. Was both mine and my husband’s favorite part of the whole trip.

Cold weather getaway
Excellent resort for a 2 week stay. So glad to return after so many years. Love the layout of the resort and how most rooms have a view of the ocean.

- Advisory*Important Information* The Dominican Republic imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. They usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced: -Motorized water sports may be banned -Non-motorized water sports may be limited or banned -Alcohol consumption may be restricted (most resorts get a permit enabling them to serve alcohol to nonnative people during the ban) -Music may be limited or silenced

- General Policies:
Check-in Policy - Hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds.
Convention Policy - Individuals attending a convention cannot book this property for their stay. If found attending a convention, guests may be subject to higher room rates upon arrival.
Hotel Spring Break Policy - The hotel will not accept any Spring Break groups. If the hotel does make an exception the following policy will be strictly applied: Students / youth are considered by the hotel as anyone between 16 and 23 years old. They will be required to sign a responsibility letter agreeing to leave the hotel if there is a disruption. Upon check in each student / youth will be required to leave cash deposit of $400 per person - no exceptions and cash only. Minimum age requirement for hotel check in is 18. Any guests under the age of 18 will require a chaperone. 1 chaperone is required per 3 students / youth under the age of 18. Minimum age for a chaperone is 28.
Legal drinking age in the DR is 18. Any guests under 18 will be given a wrist band that will not allow them to have access to alcohol at any venue and will also not allow them in the disco. All guests are required to wear wristbands. The cost for a lost wristband is $250 - no exceptions. The hotel does reserve the right to ask any student / youth to check out of the property if the hotel policies are not fulfilled without the right to a refund for the remaining nights of the reservation.
Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.
General Information - Room taxes and service fees are included in vacation price.
