terrible cust srvice no comunication only tell you basic info had to question and pry answers out of employesfront desk staff all hang around but provide no answers .Bar staff were only effient and curtious people Will never go back .Its 2and 1/2 star at most.

This hotel is not a "5-star" hotel as we expected. The Barcelo Riviera Maya adult only hotel was a 5-star.
Although the outside of the hotel and the entire hotel property is kept very well, inside the rooms were very old. The bathrooms near the reception front desk had very tiny bath cubicles and no air conditioning.

Josie Oscar was our Server at the Pool. His attention to what we needed, engaged in conversation and personality was absolutely one of the best we have ever had. From the first day at the pool - we totally loved him. We always made sure that we were sitting in his area. Josie is the BEST!!!!!!!!

Our trip
Occidental Nuevo Vallarta We were in the Royal Club. Our staff there, Tito, Antonio, Marisol, Eirgro were very friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent. The menu, unfortunately, remained exactly the same every night for dinner. As good as it was a change up every now and then would be nice. The staff are overwhelmed some night and need help. They remain pleasant and never complain. We had trouble with our rooms. Took us a long time (25 years) to get to the Royal Level . Eventually, Atalia, managing the First Club, was able to help us. She was great. The windows in the hotel are very dirty / difficult to see out of them. Cleaning staff did their best. The elevators need a a bell to indicate when the arrive - or they just come and quietly leave.

Great resort
The room, food, service, beach, and everything at this hotel was amazing in general and especially for the price. No complaints at all. If you have problems with this hotel then you probably have too high of standards because how could you ask for more?

Group Student bookings • Must be requested through our groups department,these groups will require a chaperon as well as the refundable deposit and all above requirements.
