Oct 14, 2026I would go back if this resort had a better pool.
Everything is great. The only thing that needs improvement is the swimming pool (no adult area, no shade, need touch up). I would give a 4.5 star to the food and drinks. The water on the beach was cloudy; but not sure if this was related to the hurricane season. There was a black flag when we stayed therefore we couldn't go in. If the beach was swimmable I would give this hotel an overall 4 star rating.

This is excellent place to stay and enjoy the resort, they have everything you need to enjoy a 4 days vacation. The service is excellent special service from the staff member Marisol from the Royal service, she give us the attention and everything we need in our staying in the resort. The food is excellent , drinks room always very clean and our small refrigerator always had everything we need water , sodas snacks. We very happy to stay there for second time and I definitely recommend this place .

Hello, I am writing this review while still at the resort. (Oct. 6/26) I have stayed at the Barcelo on the Cancun side in the past so I emailed in advance for a full ocean view room on a high floor. (I did book the Oceanview Balcony room). I was pleasantly surprised I was given an upgraded room on the 6th Floor (Royal Level). Upgraded room only not the Royal perks. My room is very comfortable & has everything I need. Housekeeping does a great job of cleaning every day. A BIG thank you to Stephanie who makes the dinner reservations. She was super accommodating to my requests which was greatly appreciated. I have been to many teppenaki dinners but I have to give a BIG shout out to Ismail at the Japanese restaurant who was the most entertaining & fun chef I have ever seen at any teppenaki restaurant. Along with his humour, his food was delicious. I really enjoyed the food & fun staff at the Italian restaurant as well. Will try the Mexican soon. I find most of the staff I met to be super friendly & helpful. I can see why people return to this resort. Such a nice vibe! A great place to make your vacation a DREAM VACATION
Everything worked so perfect. Carlos and Fernando at the pool bar, Armando, Ricardo and Eva at entertainment and all members of all restaurants were always beyond what we expected. Beach is great, location fantastic and rooms very cozy. Food was different and unique each day and the three additional restaurants were surprisingly good. Love it

Very good experience
My service was great the place was very clean very hospitable the bartenders Marbella. Aurelio and Daniel was super helpful and very nice.
