May 13, 2025Relaxing and fun time at the Occidental Nuevo Vallarta
We had an excellent time. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Jessica, from the First Club, was outstanding. An-y issue we had, Jessica took care of it quickly. The grounds were very well maintained and clean. Our room was always clean and it was very comfortable. The food in the main buffet was quite good and there was a good variety to choose from. The specialty restaurant’s food was excellent and service was top notch. I would highly recommend this resort to all travellers.

The buffet is not very good. Despite the claim that they have 4 restaurants, they only allow you to eat in one of them every three days. So you don't get to enjoy them. The front desk is rude. They skipped cleaning and restocking our rooms. And the front desk seemed not to care. This is obviously a hotel chain that makes employees avoid helping customers in the name of increasing profits. I will never visit an Barcelo property again.

I would recommend this hotel, but would not recommend the spa services (pedicure was just washing of feet and not much else). Everything else was good.

So much fun!!
We had an amazing time here, with our friends!!! The staff was amazing and made it so much fun!! We went with three other couples were celebrating their anniversaries. Thank you Eva, David, Aldo Jesus and Richard!!! The drinks were great and the games were a blast!!

First Time in Nuevo Vallarta
We celebrated our 19th anniversary here and everyone was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Gabriela Aguirre was so thoughtful and helped plan out some of the events and dinners to celebrate our anniversary. There is a real culture of hospitality and you can feel it from all the staff. We would recommend anyone to stay and enjoy some of the fun and great entertainment!
