Not a wow.
Resort is in need of some TLC. Pool was not working properly and closed on our last day. Guest were taking skimmer and trying to clean the leaves etc out of pool. Housekeeping was hit or miss seemed to show up at 5 when we were getting ready for dinner or relaxing after a day in the sun. Buffet restaurant was very small and very limited selection. Food was repeated over and over. You would have to wait for table. No bacon at breakfast. Grill restaurant was not bad, but steak had a lot of fat was very chewy hard to cut with knife they provided. Gym was nice with updated equipment. Seemed to be a lack of attention to detail resort was tidy but not clean like other resorts we have visited. Weather was amazing. Will definitely go back to Costa Rica but not this resort.

Third trip to Guanacaste!
Resort is a little worn out compared to when we stayed here 6 years ago and the safe in our room was inoperable the entire time we were there despite several calls to get it fixed. Bartenders are great especially Brian! The drinks are plentiful and the food average for an all inclusive. Baggage, shuttle and house keeping all great/friendly. The front desk staff however were not exactly enthusiatic about helping with check in, questions etc. They really could use a bar service of some sort by the main pool.

Home away from home oasis.
Our second stay at this home away from home oasis. Large, comfortable rooms, with amenities on a dated side, but overall home feeling especially because of staff in the resort. Except for the front desk manager, All staff continuously were there to help, and provide. At the buffet we were greeted daily with smiles, and often plaed us at rhe table of our choice. The shuttle drivers were so sweet, and kind , Javier waived to us sometimes 10 times a day, driving buy our room. Riding the shuttle was so much fun and convenient when needed. Karol, a young lady cleaning our room was super kind. Each day she left our room sparkling clean, often leaving a little towel animals with flowers in it. Any time we asked her to provide whatever was missing, she took care of it immediately. The kitchen Staff was also extremely helpful, when asked for so.ething special tgat was not available provided without any hesitation. One small disappointment was that we arrived on the day of our Anniversary (36), and we're promised a special surprise, that did not happen. We made every moment count, while at the resort, so the small disappointment did not overshadow our experience. We enjoyed the wild life, beautiful flora, meeting and interacting with the local people on the beach. They also contributed to providing information, and support (Roberto, Brayan), as well as an amazing massage from Gladys. Beautiful person. I had a problem with my knee for some time, after my massage with Gladys it stopped, amazing. So overall, the location is stunning, yes many hills to keep you exercising, no problem, there is so much to see , and hear the many voices of the local birds keep your mind focused on beauty. The price was reasonable taking into consideration all that is provided. The food for us was exceptional, yes many repetitions, but all super delicious, tasted like home cooking. I was hoping for more fruit varieties, especially passion fruit, but one day asked for it and sure enough they bought it to me. Conveniently located, only 20-30 minutes drive from Liberia airport, and many attractions near by. We had a lower bay view room both times we visited, hoping for the same room when we return. We can not thank the Staff and the Hotel director ( Mr. Raul Arranz) for the hospitality during our stay.

Good but could be better
This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort. The resort facilities were nice and all the personnel were friendly and efficient. We were disappointed with the selection and quality of the food at the buffet and all the restaurants. We did not get anything bad, but we expected higher quality. Like I said, this was our first all-inclusive, so maybe we were expecting too much. We will be back to Costa Rica but we will try a different resort next time.

Disappointed
Lobby staff is rude ( Carlos ) and act like you are bothering them with any questions or concerns. Would rather argue with guests than address the concerns. I think they hate their jobs or something. The main pool never filtered all week long- the pump was broke and never got fixed the whole week we stayed. Food wasn’t the best - but edible . Hard to get bottled water. One shuttle was broke - but they did their best to get you around . We found one friendly waiter on night 6 Alonzo but the rest seemed annoyed to have to be working . The bar tenders were nice though. Not overly excited - but ok. Would not come back .
