Requirements for Weddings in Costa Rica
Birth Certificates of both (Bride and Groom): Original and copy
Passport: Original and copy
Certificate of civil state: Single state certificate of the home country. Final divorce decree if either party is divorced, death certificate if either part is widowed. Only originals.
Two witnesses: They cannot be relatives. (If the bride and groom do not bring their own witnesses, the hotel can provide them)
Additional information: Occupation, addresses, nationalities, ages, of both, bride and groom and witnesses.
The bride and groom must be at the property at least 4 days prior to the wedding date, in order to finalize the necessary paper work.
Ceremony must be scheduled with officials at least one month in advance.

Oct 13, 2026Good Hotel with Room for Improvement in Customer Service
Overall, the hotel was good, and we had a pleasant stay. The room cleanliness and housekeeping were excellent, and the bar service was very good. The food was average, around 3.5/5. However, the biggest disappointment was the attitude of some of the reception staff, particularly Alexa. She came across as rude and arrogant, and when guests asked questions, her responses often felt dismissive and unwelcoming. We also noticed that other guests seemed to have similar experiences. Customer service makes a big difference in the overall hotel experience. Staff should be trained to be more welcoming, friendly, and approachable. Even simple gestures, such as saying “good morning” or “good night,” smiling, making eye contact, and acknowledging guests when passing by, can make people feel welcome. Unfortunately, the lack of these basic courtesies made the experience less enjoyable. The hotel has good potential, with excellent housekeeping and very good bar service, but improving staff friendliness and customer service, especially at reception, would make a significant difference.

Peaceful & loved nature
Beautiful views from our balcony & many places at resort, near beach, food options were good, specialty dinners were great but required morning reservations daily, transportation to/from airport excellent (stopped to eat & buy souvenirs upon request at El Jardín), rides provided to/from rooms as needed, wildlife everywhere (enjoyed seeing from my balcony) friendly service, 7pm artists were good, disco music was not for me, excursions felt safe & organized. WiFi was non-existent or choppy at best. Rented 4 rooms. Couldn’t put us together. 2 were in 1 building & the other 2 on the other side of the hotel. Couldn’t call another building (only within same building). If you are expecting modern, this is not for you. If you want to relax & see lots of animals such as hermit crabs, iguanas, birds, raccoons & lemurs, stay here! Overall, I would return!

Awesome experience! Great staff , great food, great pool and beach! Honestly had the best time and can't wait to come back again! Everyone was so friendly which makes all the other guests happy so it was a real positive all around experience!!

Excellent place! Staff and senior management was awesome and very accommodating! Great food and pool, definitely can not wait for my next stay! Beautiful surroundings and beach areas, its close proximity to other beaches as well.

Just Book It Already
The experience we had was incredible. Shout out to Elvin and Rafael for the multiple daily shuttle rides! The Wet Bar is the best place to be. Andres, Oscar, and This labor are the most fun and engaging bartenders. I would come back to the resort just to hang out with them again. There are only two words to describe our experience: Pure Vida!
