May 13, 2025The Food is awful and the hotel rooms are incredibly run down.
The hotel was extremely "used" and run down. Nothing worked. Sheets were dirty and I am till this day not certain that it was changed upon our arrival. Coffee machine didn't work - and never got replaced - The Iron - didn't work and never got replaced. After the rain - it leaked from the ceiling both in our room and our childrens room. Cleaning was not every day and floor was full of hair that didn't belong to us. We had a nice balcony but got a view on the labours construction on a new hotel which was not so nice and pretty noisy. I can say one thing and that is the beach is very beautiful and quite clean. For the rest, I can not recommend it at all.

My stay was amazing!!!! Oscar Castillo helped me in everything I needed. He is awesome!!!! The rooms are very big, clean and comfortable. The balcony is very beautiful. The only thing I did not like is the salesperson on the beach using animals to sell pictures…. This was very bad for me. This actions with animals should be forbidden!!!!

Amazing week at Occidental
Josefina Rodriguez our lady of the beach. She looked after us with lovely drinks on thr beach. She made our stay very memorable. Look forward to seeing her next year Josefina special cocktail was perfect a must have!!! Can highly recommend this hotel Beautiful grounds, well kept, beautiful staff so friendly, food, ways found so.ethk b we enjoyed, weather amazing! Just cannot fault our stay

Best server ever!! Amazing
Josepina Rodriquez was absolutely the best service we have had since we arrived! She goes above & beyond for you. We have loved everything but she was our favorite person. Great drinks &she would surprise us daily with something new. You must find her if you stay here.
