  Terrible experience

  I’m literally leaving the resort right now, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Yes, it’s budget-friendly, and normally I’d say, “You get what you pay for,” but even that doesn’t apply here. This resort was trash all around. The food was TRASH. The drinks were TRASH. The service was not great, and the room was outdated. Mind you, I’m not a picky person, nor do I ever write reviews, but this resort left such a terrible taste in my mouth that I had to let other people know. If the drinks had at least been decent, with more options and actually tasted like what you ordered, maybe I could’ve overlooked some of the other issues. But this was a zero all around. If you can afford it, spend the extra $100 or so and stay somewhere else. When you go on vacation, you expect to relax, enjoy yourself, eat decent food, and have good drinks—not deal with something like this. Very disappointing. Don’t do it!

  Taking legal action against this hotel

  Truly awful experience my family has just had at this hotel. We stayed for 2 weeks in a family suite (block 23) and it is by far the worst holiday we have ever had due to the staff who work here. We hardly slept whilst we were there due to 2 main reasons, Firstly, our room was next door to where the maids congregate from the early morning and they literally shout at each other from first thing having no consideration for the room next door. Secondly, there were a number of youth football teams staying at the hotel who would run riot day and night. They would bang and kick in the doors at all hours of the day. We did not feel safe. I complained to the front desk/customer services 9 times. They were hopeless , they really didn’t care. They had zero empathy or emotional intelligence. Lorenzo promised to sort it and call me back. He didn’t. Others said they would help . They didn’t. We were shown a room we could move to but it was half the size of the one we had and wouldn’t have fit 4 of us. Why show us a room that was too small? Pathetic! My wife took ill for 9 days. They didn’t care. My son was really ill on our last day and was hospitalised with Dengue. I asked for a buggy sent to the room when we were checking out as he couldn't walk . They forgot. Additionally, on one occasion my wife was dragged out of the pool by the entertainment staff to do a “sexy dance”in front of 200 people . She pleaded with them no but they made her do it, completely violating her. I wasn’t there at the time unfortunately to stop it. I later demanded to speak with the head of entertainment.. she never got back to me. It was impossible speak to the hotel manager as he was always hiding away. Perhaps he’ll respond here with some glib comments thanking me for my feedback. I’m taking legal action against this hotel for the distress and harm my family has had to suffer. We are so angry as we spent about £10,000 on this holiday do it should have been amazing.. it was a nightmare.

  Amazing hotel - the Royal restaurant was wonderful, all the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Special thank you to Ruben. Ana, Dileynys, Fermin for being so amazing <3
