We Requested Oceon View. We got forest view. was disappointing Overall good. You should give a list of TV staions and say which ones are in English and which are the news channels. Also instructions on how to use the phone.List of nearby resturants and and shops

Edwin is phenomenal, the best thing about the hotel

A phenomenal place. I loved the sunsets, the beach is in great condition, and Edwin's cocktails are the best thing about the hotel.

    Disappointed

This was our first experience with an all inclusive and we were extremely disappointed. First of all, the resort was clean. No complaints. A little outdated, but clean rooms. You could see where certain areas needed some attention, like the pool for example, but it was still clean which is a plus for us. 1. Food The food was bad. If you’re into buffet style eating with old dried out food then have at it. We don’t eat like that. And usually if you get there early, then it’s tolerable and you can find something. They did have an omelette bar and pancake bar which saved breakfast. Dinner and lunch probably had some sort fresh options, but at the point we needed something different. We usually went into town for more local options. The price we paid for the premium level of all inclusive was not worth it in our opinion when it came to the food. They do have a couple restaurants that we could eat at, which we did one night. You have to make reservations and you only get 2 nights included. The Italian place was good, no complaints, but I wouldn’t want to eat there every night. We’ve stayed a many resorts and there’s something about having a nice light option for lunch when we it’s so hot outside. The snack options were even worse than the buffet options. Just heavy processed food that was cold and dried out. I guess if you’re into the “free” drinks, the food isn’t noticed. 2. Booking When we booked the trip I unfortunately reserved it as a non refundable. An unexpected and required work trip to Germany came up for me that interfered with this trip by one day that overlapped. I called and asked if I could change the dates by a week or even a day or two so I could make it on both trips. In order for me to change any dates I would have had to pay an enormous cancellation fee. Which was the amount of my original booking. I wasn’t canceling, I just needed to change the dates. They would not budge or work with me on any of it which was really unfortunate. 3. Airport transfer The resort works with a separate company for transfers. That is to be expected. I set up the transfer to the hotel from the airport on our first at the time of booking and it all went smooth. When I requested to set up a transfers to the airport a few day before we were coming home, it wasn’t as smooth. I asked the front desk for help. She messaged the company and said it was all set up. 4:30am Saturday morning. I asked for some kind of confirmation, but she said they don’t send anything. I was worried because what if it something happened and no one showed up? She let me take a picture of the message that it was set up and it seemed good to go. Saturday morning at 4:30am rolls around and there’s no transfer for us. I asked the front desk gal about it, and she said she had nothing to do with it. It’s a separate company and she knows nothing and it’s not her fault. I was frustrated but wasn’t yelling at her. I explained that I didn’t blame her but we need to solve this so we didn’t miss our flight. She handed me the phone to call the company to figure it out. Luckily someone answered at that time of day and she had a transfer to us with in half an hour. We made our flight but the stress of the whole situation left us feeling like they weren’t there to make sure our stay was satisfactory. The entire experience made us feel like a transaction and not a customer.

I did infact have a wonderful time

All-inclusive, but restrictions at every turn. Location is absolutely beautiful. Service is acceptable. However, the bartenders are incredible. Amiable, professional and funny. Edwin and Jose are incredible people. The buffet is sub-par. I am truly glad this location is close to town. The food there is amazing.
