The resort was beautiful and Tomas was the best Butler!

My mother and me do annual trips together and this year Ocean Blue & Sand did not disappoint. CheckIn and Privilege accommodations were perfect for the two of us. Our Butler Tomas greeted us and showed us around the Privilege exclusive areas to I use the full self service lol ge with all top shelf accompaniments. He notified us daily of meal options and activities at the resort daily during our entire stay. The foam party, parasailing, photos on beach with birds and beach from cabanas were top service. Only downside was I usually choose resorts that are adult only. But that was my oversight. The overall atmosphere, location and multiple restaurants were better than expected for all-inclusive resort. Thank you Tomas for making our stay a true Privilege experience.

Worst Experience ever - See pictures

Worst family experience ever. Stayed in Building 4 - Room 4217 and room 4311 Will never book with this hotel of chain ever again. Rooms are extremely dirty with mold, old furniture falling apart, Air Conditioning that does not work. TV and Phone in room not working. They finally changed my room to 4311 and the Air Conditioning did not work, spent 4 days without AC and arguing with Guest Services. I made many complaints to Guest Services, slow to fix issues. Some hotel employees are very rude. Buffet choices are not the greatest, have been to better resorts for cheaper than what we paid. For almost every meal at buffet or Beach grill, the tables were not cleaned and you need to take it upon your self to move dirty dishes to another table and find a wet cloth to wipe down your table. They dont wipe things down, tables are sticky and dirty. The picture you see in the hotel publicity are nowhere close to what the reality is. Many broken pool chairs, many broken chairs at the beach section. Staff are always on their phones and almost get upset when you ask them for things. I had many issues with my room and they changed my room for a second one which didn't have any AC, they tried to have me sign a waiver by offering me a free dinner for 4 at the resort in one of the already FREE RESTAURANTS. A real disaster

    Many Issues

I travelled solo & experienced many issues with the room, power & dining. Room: Upon arrival, the door to my room was broken and the toilet had someone else’s urine in it and the seat was dirty. To top it off, the safe wasn’t working and the AC made a clanking noise that made it hard to sleep. The security team was very helpful with fixing the door, but the cleaning team did not want to clean the toilet after I requested assistance. They said it “was fine.” I flushed it and wiped the seat myself. The next day, I asked to switch rooms since I realized the AC was clanking and the safe wasn’t working. I was told a technician would be sent out but the manager did not want to switch my room. The safe remained broken & the AC was still clanking. I was only there for the weekend, so I decided not to push the issue. I just turned off the AC at night so I could sleep. Before I checked out, I called for the bell boys to pick up my bags and no one responded. When I checked out, the manager seemed to hold a grudge for my complaints and when I returned the resort’s blue towel, he told me to put it in the bin behind the counter myself. Power: There were power outages. They only lasted about a minute but it happened several times. Dining: The dining halls & restaurants cater more to large groups than couples or solo travelers. In the dining hall, I would eat most of a meal before I was offered anything to drink or assistance. In the restaurant, I was rudely asked to leave a restaurant after eating for an hour. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Ocean Blue & Sand. The proposed offerings sound wonderful, but aren’t executed well. The room headache alone made it unpleasant but the manager’s uncaring attitude made it worse. I don’t want to spend my vacation fighting to get things fixed and ignored at restaurants because I’m not a large enough group.

    Wonderful vacation

It was a wonderful experience especially if your butler is Thomas. He made our vacation amazing and unforgettable. I would recommend to get the privilege stay. The room is clean and food was great! Plus the beach. The activities everyday were so fun. We’ll definitely come back.

Beautiful resort for a family vacation

Overall, this is a great resort! The setting is beautiful. The beach is gorgeous. The service is good. There are plenty of fun activities all day long — my teenage boys were happy! The food is also very good— including the buffet! There’s an extra buffet open for lunch that has amazing outdoor seating right by the ocean. I only have two things I wish were different: 1. It is impossible to eat at most of the ala carte restaurants if you aren’t “privilege.” We did use the app to get reservations at the steakhouse and hibachi restaurants (which are the only 2 restaurants non-privilege guests can reserve), but otherwise we had to eat at the buffet. Thankfully the food there is good. 2. If you want chairs on the beach with a palapa you have to have your towels on them by 6:30am. I’m not kidding. And if you want chairs at the pool you have to claim them by 8:30. But overall, it’s been a great stay and we hope to come back!!
