We book as privileged. As did our friends. We were very unhappy that they were given a beautiful room facing the pool and we were given an old non updated room facing the back fence. The hotel moved us across the hall to face the pool but the room was very old. We had our son booked in a non privileged room and it was by far better and updated. For the extra prize of being in privileged I really did not see much of an upgrade for anything other than we could eat at the beach restaurant for breakfast. Privileged is not worth the extra money. Also was Surprised privileged rooms were not the ones updated. Thomas our butler was amazing. We had 26 people in our party and he went out of his way to make sure the entire party was booked for specialty restaurants together regardless if they were privileged guests or not. On day 3, they washed our floor in the mid afternoon. At 7pm it was still extremely slippery and soapy still and I slipped and sprained my ankle. The medic on call was wonderful and thorough and sent me for xrays by taxi. Which I had to pay out of pocket $60 USD, which surprised me since it was the fault of the soapy floor that caused the fall in the first place. Thomas got my Px filled for a walking boot for me the next day. I left it as a donation in the medic office , hopefully they can use it , I never did as it didn't work well for me. always lots of pool loungers if you get up early enough. We snagged 26 of them every day so our group could be together. Entertainment staff are great. Room were clean. Food was excellent.

great
i just a little advise be carefull walking after it rains pathways are very slippery. And when they wash the floors in your room, my wife slipped and sprained her ankle and had to go to the hospital. They were very help full and a big shout out to the beach bar tender great guy carlos. Our butler in privlage Thomas was amazing booking everything we needed and also helping us with perscription from the drug store.

Overall a lovely stay at the ocean blue Positives - lovely modern rooms with air con tv Great selection of food Staff are nice Resort is spotless Everything you need on site Great vibes all round Great activity staff around the pool with cool activities like the foam pool party Negatives - -No where near enough umbrellas round the pool or on the beach to accommodate the size of the hotel , people reserve sunbeds with random objects even though there’s signs saying it’s not allowed . I asked a member of staff they told me “no more umbrellas” -Some staff can be rude and standoffish - unless your “privileged” good luck getting in the restaurants especially the steak house , the separate restaurants are no better than the buffet food and sometimes it’s just the same food as what’s being served in the restaurants. - no kettle in the room -On the first night the reception said we can get room service as we arrived late it took 4 hours to come and was woken at 4am with a knock on the door it was a soggy beef burger It may look like negatives outweigh the positives however we had a great stay and personally I can overlook these as not a major issue, but when paying nearly £1,500 for a holiday you want to at least get a sun bed with shade around the pool or on the beach

Amazing Resort !!
I absolutely loved my stay at the ocean blue & sand resort in Punta Cana. My husband and I stayed in the privilege honeymoon suite and it was top tier. Our butler Thomas Newton was absolutely incredible with every accommodation we needed. He went above and beyond to make our stay so special. I would 10/10 recommend staying at this resort!!!

Amazing
Very happy with Thomas our butler. He made the experience of the Island refreshing. He stayed in communication with us throughout the trip, providing us with information of the resort and helped plan a romantic night for me and my lady. Absolutely amazing. Most definitely worth a second trip to the same hotel. Best service ever.
