  Great food at the Mexican restaurant

  Mexican restaurant was so good. Service was great. Staff very friendly. We will come back again for sure

  Amazing!

  The hotel is beautiful and offers a wide range of amenities and activities, making it a lovely place to stay. The staff are generally very friendly and welcoming, and the entire property is well-maintained and clean. Although the receptionist who welcomed us could have been clearer when explaining the hotel’s services and procedures upon arrival, our experience greatly improved when we encountered an issue with our room. Nicole was there to assist us and provided outstanding support. She was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Nicole was definitely the highlight of our stay! Overall, we had a very positive experience and appreciated the hotel’s facilities, cleanliness, and friendly atmosphere.

  Tipping pressure, drinks excessive sweet and practically undrinkable, leaking toilet.

  This is not a 5-star hotel as advertised. At most it is a 3 star. It is the first time my spouse and I did an all-inclusive. In reception, a timeshare agent will try to get a commitment to pitch a sale. It is up to you. In our first room, water issues. Stepped on water walking into the washroom. Thought the room was recently cleaned by housekeeping for check in. The reason for the wet floors. After flushing the toilet, noticed an increase of water seeping through the wooden floor in the bathroom and foyer. My spouse contacted registration, and we walked to the office to speed things up. I showed the concierge the photos of the water coming thought the floors and we requested a room change, rather than wait for staff to assess and then fix any leaks as offered. It’s more about the health and safe sanitary condition of the room for example, E-coli. Our room was changed on request. We were lucky. There are 2 pools and you can walk to the beach. Despite sargassum floating in the ocean, we enjoyed spending long hours in the warm water. As others have said, a reservation game for the chairs is played in the early mornings. I saw one person strategically position numerous towels on chairs at various areas poolside. The hotel has signs up saying not to do so; there is zero staff enforcement. On the toilet lids there is a sign about throwing waste on the toilet. In the public toilets there are used soiled stained toilet paper in the wastebaskets. Not hygienic at all! A lone flamingo calls the resort home. There are some cats on the resort probably kept for hunting pests. I think they are harmless. Cats are natural predators, look out birds, saw one hunting a bird on a tree. The entertainment team is fantastic- high energetic, engaging and fun. The food was good. If you are an early riser, head to Mikes for your morning coffee. We had the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet at El Carey & La Tortuga, can’t go wrong, food is great. I had no issue making a reservation for the steak house, also eating at Il Mascherati Di Venezia and Blue Moon. The food was good, but felt the service was rushed, and the food was not hot enough when I began eating. I can understand the quick service; I think they are forced to serve quickly as some do not like to wait for their meals. Servers are pleasant, and courteous. On the 2nd day of stay we ordered drinks. These drinks were sweeter than cotton candy. They do have top shelf alcohol, but they are reserved for privilege guests. We did not order any drinks from the bars after this experience. We ordered bottles of wine with our meals, figuring it was the only way we could have proper drinks. A bottle of wine starts at $45.00 US. The Casino is very small. There are 2 gift stores, a spa and a gym at the resort. There is a shuttle hop on / off throughout the resort at designated areas. The staff are friendly, and courteous. My Spanish is almost non-existent; I am an English speaker. The guests who are fluent in Spanish did get ahead better when communicating with staff. The ATM at the hotel dispensed cash, and the lowest denomination is $1000 pesos. Nowhere to make smaller change at the resort. At checkout you are given a slip of paper, please hold on to it as the security will ask for it prior to guests boarding transport to the airport. I almost threw mines away. This slip is proof that you have checked out of the hotel. There is an expectation for tips by everyone, starting at the airport through to the resort. On exiting the taxi at the airport, a porter took our luggage walked us into the airport terminal a few steps, we asked for our luggage, he stood waiting with his hand out for his tip. Not having small change meant we had to use larger bills. This was not a cheap vacation. I waited a week to write this review. The beach at the resort was not one of the best beaches I have been too. Our plan was to enjoy the ocean. The resort met this need. I have no plans to return to this resort.

  Ocean Blue & Sand - Piano Bar (Lieser) and in general

  We came down to Punta Cana for my wife's birthday and over all it has been a great experience. The food in the buffet was super. As much as not much changed per selection in the buffet on a nightly basis (a few things did) the selection was huge. We loved the piano bar and having Lieser as a bartender/waiter. How the pianist has so many songs memorized is amazing. The only negatives I can think of is as you turn the temp up in the shower the pressure goes down. More lightning as your eating would be nice when eating but that is nit picking.

  Las peores vacaciones en punta cana

  To start, when you arrive at the property, if you don't say "good morning" or "good afternoon," it’s as if you don't exist. The reservation was for two beds, but we were given one; we waited 20 minutes, and when they finally switched us to a room with two beds, the smell of mold was overpowering. Their response was simply, "It's the only room we have right now." Between the heat and the moldy smell coming from the A/C units, it was indescribably bad. The staff lacked empathy and always seemed annoyed; you could try to speak to them, but they would ignore you until they saw you pull out a dollar. Back in the room, the bathroom was full of hair—as were the sheets. When we called to report it, they just brought new sheets and left it at that. The customer service was terrible, especially considering the $4,000 we spent on the reservation. Only two employees actually provided good service and helped keep this from being the absolute worst—and most expensive—vacation of our lives: Freddy Mateo (Waiter) Albert Tejada (Bellman) They were the only ones; the rest of the staff—and even the managers—didn't even show their faces when we asked to speak with them. I have worked for hotel chains for 18 years, and I would never allow my team to provide such a low level of service; it all starts with the leadership. I would never return, nor would I ever recommend staying here.
