Great place but food needs improvement.
Ocean el faro I think is a 3 star resort only because the food could be alot better. The room AC filters need cleaning or replacement We had a great time at this resort , the workers are all friendly and everyone says hello, the cleaning ladies are on top of cleaning the rooms. Mike's coffee place is the best. The entertainment is great, every night we had a blast.

Last night dinner at the El Marcado
The food is good. Lots to choose from. If you didn’t like something then you could always find something else to choose from. Had different varieties each night. Did not get bored of the buffet. Staff was great! Enjoyed Yorqui, Rayleny and Rafael. Would recommend others to stay at this resort.

Good resort
Beautiful resort, the coffee is amazing, the restaurants are really good like, Pez Dama, the Steakhouse and Route 66. One thing that would be nice for the buffet is to mark if the desserts are peanut free, so that those who have allergies can have the chance to have some dessert without any worry.

Solid but some drawbacks.
Resort was overall great but a few negatives I have to highlight. About half the staff was semi rude and dismissive in most scenarios. The towels were never available and always out when we would stop by. They say 20 minutes but its a dice-roll either way. Beach was nice, lazy river was great and the pools were great. Mikes was a great little coffee shop but understaffed and they were quite rude sometimes. Long lines either way in the morning. The shower would leak out the door into the bathroom so putting a towel down outside it became the norm. Our friends room smelled horrible when they would turn on the AC fan and got a shrug from staff when inquiring about it. None of these things really ruined our trip and overall we had a great time and enjoyed the various restaurants. Food is solid for the dominican. Almost a 5 star review but the negatives have to be noted! Great value for the price nonetheless.

Great Value
First, I want to dis the negative comments about the staff. They are hard working nice people. This is not a top end resort and it does not charge top end prices BUT it is great value. Everything is OK. Sitting on the beach with the waves crashing.. priceless!
