Not my favorite hotel but I liked it.

This resort has a lot of pros - the rooms are big, lots of pool space, many activities. There are a few downsides as well - the food is medium at best, the service is the same (and tipping well didn’t make a difference), and the hotel shows signs of wear and tear. It was also much too big for our taste. We visited in April and the beach was not good for swimming, too rough. We choose the rooftop jacuzzi room, which we never used, but the high ceilings were worth it. The bathroom tub is roomy but the jets didn’t stay on. Room amenities are nice (toiletries, safe, hairdryer etc), room service choices are limited and, again, mediocre at best. The 70s/80s show was GREAT! Depending on your needs, this could be the hotel for you.

    Best resort

The resort is beautiful and the food was great. Some of the best entertainment out of all of the resorts that we have been to. The beach is a little rocky but the lagoon is a nice little addition. We are so sad to be leaving the Blue team was the best and we will definitely be back! They truly made the stay well worth it.

Vacation ❘ Family Great food and great hospitality! Especially thanks to Grasiela in the Teen Club and the staff at Mike's Cafe! Everything was wonderful and clean and comfortable and we were really well taken care of. A couple things to note: 1. the beach is beautiful and lots of chairs but the not really for swimming or snorkeling (there's a lagoon next door but it's off-property); 2. Make your dinner reservations on your phone using their web-app, do not line-up at the buffet; and 3. It's actually four resorts in one and it's not always marked which section you are in so don't be surprised if a staff member asks you to move your stuff. Rooms4.0Service5.0Location3.0 Hotel highlightsKid-friendly · Great value RoomsThe standard rooms are nice but a bit small for a family of four (two teenagers). Ours had a sofa bed so each got their own place to sleep, which was great. The balcony overlooking back of the resort was actually quite nice (east facing) - I enjoyed a peaceful morning coffee and pastry (from Mike's of course) on a few occasions. Nearby activitiesNothing really nearby since the resort is a bit isolated so everything is a 30-45 minute drive. The resort's staff work really hard to keep everyone entertained and are a lot of fun. Food & drinksLots of choices! The buffet is great on it's own with some local cuisine and freshly cooked meals to order. If you find Sandrino working a bar ask for his signature cocktail.
