  Pleasant Surprise

  Stayed one week (after Semana Santa). Check-in and reception staff very nice and received room an hour ahead of scheduled time. Room was very comfortable. Nice bed, great pillows and air conditioning. The noise from the beach was not as bad as anticipated from the Banda groups and they were pretty much gone by 9pm. TV had CNN News and lots of movies and other choices, but not in English. Full size refrigerator and a microwave oven. A couple of maintenance issues arose and each time they were quickly resolved. Location was good close to Oxxo stores, restaurants, etc. Right on the bus line. One issue the jacuzzi was not working one day. I checked a couple of days later and it was working, but not hot-instead lukewarm warm. Observation - I seemed to be the only Caucasian person at the hotel which was fine. I enjoyed being among all the Mexican people and seeing how much fun they and their children were having at the pool and on the beach.

  Worst Resort Ever

  Love Mazatlan but was very disappointed that a hotel like Oceano Palace is even a option that sunwing is offering. Everything looks great before you go until you get there and realize its the worst place ever. So run down, broken pool chairs, ripped umbrellas, one buffet for 3 hotels. Air conditioning didn't work, safe didn't work, fire alarm chirped constantly, there is better food served in jails in canada than their buffet. They sell day passes to the public so the place is so overcrowded. Hardly anyone speaks english and the ones that did won't help you. Had a waiter tell us we don't belong there. Absolutely the worst resort ever.

  It's worth it

  Had a wonderful time. Very Little English speaking Representative but they tried their best. Rooms were beautiful. The live bands were all night, 3 or 4 bands playing at one time sometimes

  Awesome hotel

  The rooms and whole hotel are kept spotless. The staff are excellent although little English is spoken. Food is very good. The band's that try to drown each other out are annoying. Loved being able to use facilities of the sister resorts. We will definately return.

  Holiday from hell

  This place is not like a all inclusive. There was one buffet over run by pigeons, the food was gross we ate out off the resort. The pop machine was broke. The plates and utensils were plastic the pacifico was closed. The swim up bar was closed and the star palace opened 4 days in to our 8 days there only for breakfast. There is no coffee pots in the rooms we had ocean view no fridges. The beach chairs were broke and full of airship and the adult pool was full of kids. It was very loud the entertainment was Spanish karaoke every night and bar closed at 1230 we bought snacks and booze at the store down the road and to top if off the bus never came to pick us up for our flight. We had to get an Uber and paid alot of money for not a lot of good service like all inclusive should be. I DO NOT RECCOMEND!!
